**Mafia 2 Benchmark thread**

Yeah physx in game when working is giving 100 FPS average even when you blow up a truck with mass explosion so I expect high performance even with the one GPU doing physx when they sort it.

Arghhhh!

Mafia 2 killed my Physx!

Secondary card working fine with Batman, Dark Void, showing gpu useage on dedicated card, etc.

Ran the Mafia 2 demo, and it's borked my Physx! Not working with Mafia 2, and now not working at all

FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Pointless running this demo until the drivers are fixed.

Confirmed broken by me. To get my Physx working again, had to uninstall the 0512 (borked) physx drivers and reinstall the 0224 (working) drivers.

As soon as I run the Mafia 2 demo, it installs the borked drivers again, with the same non-working Physx (universal).

Pretty pants of the game developer and/or nvidia to release this, in this broken state.

Pretty poor show.

i have core i7 930 at 4.3ghz with 6gb of ram and two gtx 480 in sli at 1920 by 1200. i get with physx and aa off 5.3 minimum 250 maximum and 133.5 average. with physx on i get 18.5 minimum 250 maximum 137 average. with all setting on i get 11.5 minimum 148.2 maximum 28 average.

did you make sure to exit/reload the game in between changing each setting and re-running bench?

Well clothes move fluidly with the characters, explosions are more dynamic and debris sticks around instead of disappearing, I'm sure there will be many more examples of physx in the full game but in the demo it's just the little touches that make the difference. Yeah I agree I can't see why all this can't be done on the CPU with high performance, god knows where they get the recommended GTX 285 for high physx requirement.
