Mafia 3

If the reviews came out prior to release and it was declared to be an amazing game that also runs well on the PC, I'd pre order. I can't help but think that withholding reviews until after release is somewhat of a double-edged sword. Sure, on one hand you might lose out on pre-orders if the review isn't favourable, but it if it is, you stand to benefit.

Doesnt always mean a game is bad mind. Doom (the new one) didnt release review copies prior to release either and that was an amazing game

That's why it pays to pre-order on Steam, I did the order a week before release meaning I have a week to get my two hours in and if I'm unhappy with it I get a refund and if not I've got my pre-order cars and guns.

You can't lose thanks to Steam allowing refunds, It means dev's need to get there act together to avoid losing money thru buggy releases and mass refunds.

You can 'lose'... if the game is good and you keep it, and you've paid more than elsewhere - but you're right that it offers you good support for a refund - so long as you can decide whether you like it or not in 2 hours gameplay that is!

mah I just buy cheap i like to review games myself and not what others tell me.

I can see Mafia 3 being excellent, my only issue from what i have seen is the driving looks horrible but I wont know till I playing the game myself.

In terms of the gameplay, story etc I agree 100%. I'd rather make my own mind up. But given the number of games released recently with horrendous technical issues, I'd at least like to know that I'm not going to receive a broken product prior to parting with my money.

If you enjoy it you can still refund it then buy else where.

Though sometimes if its well recieved the prices will go up

I did see today that theres arcade or more simulation for driving, option in menu apparently

Not kept upto date on this so can anyone tell me if this is a free roaming 'do what you want when you want' game or a linear follow the story to end one? cheers

First game that has popped up in a while I've been interested in and I can't even remotely afford it.

I'll be waiting for a Steam sale.
