So am I, wanted to pick up Forza Horizon 3 but it's too damn expensive and has problems like every other Window$ $tore release.

I really hope this won't be a poorly performing flop.

Given the state that most games this year have released in, I won't be surprised if it also released in a **** state, seems to be the way PC gaming is going these days, no QC/testing team in order to save money and just rely on us and then fix it within a week or 2 :(

If it does release in a **** state, it will be pretty pathetic considering the gameplay doesn't look that much different/better than mafia 2, which runs superbly.

The driving style is the only putting me off, when you round a corner your car goes to the side of the screen, I'd prefer a GTA style driving mechanic where it stays in the middle.

Agreed, it's a worrying trend. I can hardly remember a game released in the last two years that wasn't borked at release in one way or another. The only titles that performed absolutely flawless for me were MGS V and Dirt Rally. No crashes, freezes, performance issues, memory leaks etc. Nothing. And maybe GTA V, with some fairly minor quibbles.

Well, at least devs always find the time to pump out loads of crappy overpriced DLCs and worthless pre-order bonuses, nevermind the QC:rolleyes:

Maybe we'll be able to switch to a static camera in the options? I hope so, not a fan of that either.

Yeah as I was saying in another thread, it is easier for me to list the games that I recall of running more or less without any serious problems on release day/first week than it is listing the broken games :o For myself it is; hardline, battlefront, mad max, doom (with vulkan, performance is stunning on max settings except the nightmare setting), alien isolation and GTA 5 (ignoring the huge ball-ache that was getting the game downloaded through social club), everything else has been a complete and utter disaster.

But hey as long as people get their pre-orders and season pass orders in after one trailer, what does it matter! :p

Love Mafia 2 and was hoping they'd continue the story of it however that looks to be left open ended and probably will never be finished. Mafia 3 imo looks terrible and I hold little hope for it but hoping I'm totally wrong, I will buy it if the release goes well and people are happy with it.

agreed. looks to be an interesting game, just not a MAFIA game. I've said it before in this thread and will say it again. I don't get why this new developer didn't call this game something else. Mafia Crimes or something similar, to suggest a link, but show it's not the same game fans will be expecting, as i'm sure it wont be at all similar.
