It's been a year of massive hype and a lot of disappoints. No idea what's up with games at the minute, just plain laziness. Prices are at an all time high for games, quality is at an all time low.

The reason is they can get away with this, we need more cases like no man's sky when the companies get sued for false advertisement and diminishing of the brand name and all of the other stuff...otherwise it will be patchwork and recycled ideas all the time.
 
So are these bugs on PC only? Go into console thread and it's a different story.

Got as far as completing the 'fairground mission' so far, not sure i have the will to go any further tbh.

Pros' :

Cons' :
The game !

It's awfully optimised, runs like a 3 legged donkey, uphill, backwards.
Appalling graphics that would not look out of place in a game made 5+ years ago.
Bugs, bugs, bugs
Lifeless 'open-world' using the same building interiors.
The most retarded NPC characters and AI - I can walk in to a store rob the till with the guy watching, walk into a back room then back in and he says ' Hey, nice to see you ' !
Padded out with meaningless collect Posters,Porn Mags and Record Sleeves.
The missions, so far, are just search and kill/interrogate, rinse and repeat.

There is no feeling of danger, no tension, like he is actually going up against 'The Mob'.
One mission was take out a gang of drug dealers operating from inside a disused Church. Where did the CIA operative choose to meet for the secret briefing with our hero ? In an open Bus shelter - ACROSS THE ROAD RIGHT OPPOSITE THE CHURCH !!

The phrase ' lazy console port ' might get overused - but in this case it is spot on.

I was lucky enough to be given this game free-of-charge and even i feel robbed !

Mafia 2 was great and I was looking forward to this, but this shockingly bad ( and i bought No Mans Sky ! ).

A generous 4/10
 
well i intend to finish the main story atleast.. although i think its only because i have nothing else to play atm, might reinstall gta v and see if that has improved

You can extract, view and possibly replace files now.
 
I was really hyped for this as i loved Mafia 2,But when i watched that review and he said all the stuff was repetitive,Nah cant be dealing with that.

It was the same with Doom,Every level felt the same it got boring FAST. :(

There has not been one game this year that has been decent imo.
 
Best games for me recently have been Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Wasteland 2 and Dying Light.

Struggling to think of much else.

I've also reinstalled Mafia 2, never finished it first time around so hoping to now.

Pretty disillusioned overall with PC gaming at the moment.
It's the norm now to release games bugged to hell and back, might take months if ever to fix, and don't mention goddamned DLC that should have been in the game in the first place.

i found fallout 4 to be a bit meh... i mean compared to new vegas, now thats a fun game

also i cant be the only one who bought witcher 3 and never played it much right? its not that its a bad game but the over-the-should camera ruins it for me... i tried mods that bring the camera out but it bugged out everytime you entered a building and just wasnt worth the hassle

Wow didnt realise there were others thought I was the only one.

Tried Fallout 4 but I just couldnt get into it. Then tried Witcher 3. Saw a bug early on where you train with swords against that older guy. He just stood there and never did anything but wave the sword. I tried to attack him etc and watched videos to check whether I was doing anything wrong. So I then had to backtrack and chose not to do the training then as I got into the game just found it the same meh yet it got 94% odd reviews.
 
Really enjoyed fallout 4 but cba getting all the mods etc. re-installed after a fresh windows install :(

As for witcher 3, so boring and dull imo and the combat urgh, just awful imo + its graphics/textures were questionable at times too:

Gotta give the game some credit there's no micro transactions crap.
I think people would just laugh if they announced a dlc now. I mean it would have to be purely a graphics update dlc.
 
Witcher 3 is one of the most uneven looking games I've ever played. It's a big accomplishment but mainly in terms of side quests and world size. Main storyline was incredibly shallow, padded out and with so many pointless characters... Left me completely indifferent. Only a couple of memorable moments.

The expansions were a lot better but at that point the clunky, repetitive gameplay was just too much. Not to mention terrible levelling issues.

Good game but massively overrated.
