Mafia 3

5 weeks, I can't wait for this game and it's the only game since gtav I have looked forward too. Will pick it up on G2A or Kinguin near the time. No more releases this year interest me. Was going to get bf1 but I just don't like it enough so Mafia 3 I can't wait.

Getting very excited for this now! I'm tempted to pre-order the deluxe Edition (includes the season pass) for £40 at CD Keys.

I might revisit Mafia I and II to pass the time...

Mafia 1 looks really good even today with unlimited draw distance mod. It was so ahead of its time...both in graphics, physics and mission design. I am getting an inkling to replay it myself. Mafia 2 is also great, although a shame so much was cut from it.

I thought I couldn't remember Mafia 1 then had a sudden flash back to the first mission.. outrun the cops in a crappy handling car. The rage I felt playing that... Might have to try it again, especially if they're mods for it.

Loving Mafia 2 in ultrawide mode. Very pretty still, as screenshots above attest.

Pro tip- on that first mission take the first right but go between the lamppost and the building and the goons behind usually crash into the lamppost. I usually then go straight over the next junction (i.e. up an alley way) and there is a little ramp (steps) at the end that makes the bad guys flip. You should go slowly over this though, so you don't flip.

Yeah, I've played Mafia too much.

the more i see of it, the less i'm excited about it. I had a feeling it would go this way, IMO it's looking like it'll go on the ever growing list of 2016 disappointments.

Watched a bit of gameplay from RadBrad. Looks quite good! That rain though.

thats not rain...this is rain, forward my vid to 15 seconds

The graphics are looking pretty disappointing, it looks about the same as mafia 2 yet M2 is much older, still a very pretty game but still, it would have been nice to see some much improved visuals.

I wouldn't be surprised if the performance is god awful too... Lets hope the PC gets some extra love but given the history with most recent AAA titles on the PC, I am not hopeful at all.

Really hope the game is good overall though as the New Orleans setting would be pretty damn cool and something different to the usual settings.

Maybe it's just me but both graphics and gameplay look **** poor. I didn't expect much from this game as it doesn't even feel like a Mafia title but I hope the final product will be at least decent.

Funny, when I posted under one M3 video that it is sad how in 6 years, the graphics looks pretty much the same as M2, I had flurry of replied telling me what a blind ***** I am :D

But yeah the games look quite similar graphically. But then again it is the same engine and M2 does look beautiful even today, so I am not that bothered.

yeah graphically i couldn't care less. it looks better, and it's good enough. graphics aren't everything. movement of the character is far more important to me. and even more important gameplay and story

I don't necessarily care about the graphics either but it should look a bit better, especially that the animations and AI are rather wonky as well.

Colour palette alone can make a game look much worse and Mafia 3 somehow reminds me of Driver: Parallel Lines in this regard;p

The quality of animations is usually the first thing I notice in a game and, to me, something that just makes games feel polished. Of course this isn't my only criterion but was one of the main reasons I enjoyed RDR, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Max Payne 3, GTA V, Tomb Raider, MGS V and couldn't entirely get into e.g. Witcher 3 and all of its clunky goodness (got used to it in the end).

Hope the story lives up to M1/M2.

Deffo waiting for the reviews. It's gonna be all about the story. The trailers..yes, they look amazing. The gameplay videos makes it look quite average/clunky in terms of gameplay though. It also seems like a murder simulator..all he seems to do is knife people in the face, shoot people, strangle people... doesn't seem particularly interesting.

We shall see.
