Mafia 3

As long as it's as good as 2 story/gameplay/acting/script wise I'll be happy. Won't get it at launch though just in case, Deus Ex MD I got on PS4 digital for £50, gutted as that game is awful.

I just hope this doesn't turn out the same as Mafia 2. Absolutely beautiful city, with huge attention to detail in even the most out of the way areas, but never got fully used :(

I'm tempted by this, but will wait until the reviews are out before committing. If the game world is bland / dead, then I'll give it a miss.

TBH, I watched some new gameplay videos and the game actually looks pretty good. Not hoping for a traditional Mafia game because of the period/setting and rather trigger-happy gameplay but it might be decent in its own right. New Orleans is a pretty cool setting for a game, the only other title I remember using it was Infamous 2.

One of the guys who played the game said he really liked the handling and that the cars feel like heavy American stuff from the time. Two driving modes are very probable IMO but we'll just have to wait and see.

I only hope it won't be buggy or poorly optimised as I'm willing to grab it for the setting alone.
And I'm not even looking at it as a Mafia game, just another decent sandbox in a cool setting. To me, pure Mafia was always about the 30's, suits, hats and Tommy guns;p

Pre-loads are ready on steam if anybody needs a week to download it :p

Got my keys from green man gaming just before. So check your emails.

Should be fun game. I've had them all. Just hope you wonder around after the game unlike mafia II

I'll wait for some reviews as pre-ordering goes against my creed;p Will most likely be picking it up soon, just want to make sure there aren't any serious performance issues and that the game's decent. If it's at least like Mafia II quality-wise, then that's enough for me but I feel it will be better, even with the "non-canon" setting etc.

Kinda thinking the same but trying hard not to resist. I utterly loved the first two Mafia games, hoping this one comes up trumps too.

Looks like the developers are no longer planning to send out pre release review copies. Seems like an odd move given how open they have been about the game.
