Malaysia Grand Prix 2012, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/20

i think people are saying 2010 was a walkover because it really should have been, with the red bulls unbelievable pace. i remember at some tracks it was over a second quicker than the rest of the grid. however, for reasons i honestly cant remember, they didnt take advantage of that phenomenal pace and barely won the championship

In qualifying the DRS is worth over a second per lap at Sepang.
JA

Wow, that is massive. Mercedes are known to have one of if not the most efficient DRS, add to that their stalling system, and they are looking good for qualifying.

Redbull should do well on the high speed corners, but KERS might let them down.

RBR won't do quite so well on the straights though, not that it seemed to hamper them too much last year.

If the DRS F Duct stuff works how we think it does, there is massive potential for a 'Mercedes train'. Massively quick in Quali to get up the front, but then behind Red Bull and McLaren and possibly others on race pace when DRS is not enabled everywhere.

Would make for good TV though :D

One DRS zone this weekend - detection on back straight with activation on main straight.

Hope Merc do well. An MSC pole would be lovely.

The look on his face would certainly be a picture :), he generally seems very happy this year as well, when looking at the video that was posted in the Aus thread after he had crashed out he was still smiling and waving to the crowd.
