This is something I realy hope the new owners sort out. F1 is technological series and thus data heavy to understand. This, lap data etc should be free and easy to access. They should also hire Scarbs and create an app with live timings, scarbs info on car development, track data, records and everything else under the sun.

The information is freely available and has been available for years on.... the FIAs website :o

The problem with this data is it doesn't tell you at all what parts are still working. For instance Merc were on their 4th of all the main parts I believe, yet went back to the second engine for Singapore.

Up till this weekend it looked like Vettel looked likely to take a penalty to get a new turbo, meaning 98% likely a new mgu-h as well, while everyone else seemed like Ham, bottas and Kimi would likely be okay.

So realistically nothing has changed, after the last race it looked like Ferrari would probably have a penalty somewhere... and now they've taken that. They'll take a full new engine for the race and now be very unlikely to require another engine penalty for the rest of the season.

Fact is that Ham might not even finish this race, let alone another one. It's not over, but it's looking less likely for the same reasons as after Singapore, 28 point gap and a probable penalty for Vettel. The most likely reason after Singapore for Vettel to be able to win was a DNF for Ham and that is still the case now.

Why do you roll your eyes?
Lewis intentionally slowed down in front of Seb at the exit of the turn causing the first contact, then Vettel got annoyed and reacted. Very natural and fair from Seb.

Was established long ago that the telemetry proved he did nothing different to the previous starts and he was absolved of all blame.

Go peddle your biased crap somewhere else.

My bias? It's a British forum with British comments about supporting a British person?

If Vettel FELT that something is wrong, he was right. He was there and no telemetry, electronics or artificial intelligence can prove otherwise!
