I would say it was verging on an obsession. There's absolutely nothing wrong with preferring some races over others. Quite when and how people became brainwashed into accepting such preferences are abhorrent I don't know, but relatively speaking, it's a very recent thing.

@Dis86 , you're pushing this thread pretty hard and as normal a thread like this grows arms and legs. What exactly is the problem you have with what to most people seems to be an idiot doing an idiotic thing but with more serious ramifications than some might expect? Are you defending his right to do what he did? Or that 'liberals' are being overly dramatic about a - in your mind - non event? I disagree strongly with you on this and for probably the reasons you think so I'll save typing them out.
This I disagree with far less strongly, and was actually the reason for asking you for more detail on your views. When resources, time, and cost are all in play then prioritisation has to happen for things to run (semi) efficiently and this case has consumed all three of those things. I'm glad the idiot's actions did have repercussions but I'd hope that was in addition to other cases being dealt with, not instead of others.
The rona brought out the worst in people tbh. Even people who were always good for a laugh and a bit of fun are cranky and bickering over stupid crap with people they'll never meet.
