US: Marvel & Netflix - Daredevil

Just got to the scene where he beats on the Russian in the ally way, then about 3 cops cars pull up and have him at gun point.
So the fact he has this super hearing just stops, sorry no,thats to stupid.
Can't watch the rest knowing they are going to have things like that for the convenience of plot.

That gets me too.

He can sense a trigger being pulled and able to jump out of the line of fire Matrix style but he can't dodge a punch?

Kind of binge watched this on my week off. Enjoyable, but not amazing I think.

I think I would prefer if someone installed some ceiling lights too?

Wesley's death annoyed me too. As he stretched forward and put the gun in the middle I thought 'why's he doing it like that?' Of course, we got the answer...

Great fight scene in Ep2 for the kid, but as said, fairly sure there's a couple of cut's in the camera swings.

Perhaps a bit negative of a post, I did enjoy the show and how Matt really got hurt in his fights. I liked Fisk (who's 'The Kingpin'!?!?) great character. Probably would give it 8/10.

(Okay, looked up Kingpin on WIkipedia :) I'm not a comic book kinda guy)

I really want a pair of Fisk's cufflinks...

Had absolutely no idea it was the actor from Law and Order. Magnificent performance.

Just finished watching this, I really enjoyed it but found it strange every time they mentioned the greater Marvel universe I think the show is strong enough to stand up on its own I would go as far as to say its one of the better Marvel things right now. :)

watched episodes 1 2 and 3 so far.

Its alright.... I'm not a "super," Super hero fan or comic book reader but the story is interesting enough and it has a few moments of "ouch" or quite funny.

I do think it borders on the preposterous but if you allow it to just happen its fine. THere are worse things to watch.

You have to suspend some disbelief being you're watching a show about a masked hero who is blind but can 'see'. I can't remember where in the series he explains
that under normal circumstances he can 'see' but the super hearing he has to concentrate for that. Obviously in the middle of a fight he isn't going to be to concentrate on super hearing. Not a perfect explaination but does explain it somewhat.

Not really a spoiler but some people are funny about these things :)

Yea he explains it shortly after
when Foggy quizzes him after he goes on a rampage post the apartment lady gets dealt with by the junkie.

Didn't like that by the last couple of episodes he'd gone from a fairly realistic style to appearing to have graduated from the Roy Harper school on unnecessary flips but otherwise loved it.

Just finished watching all of them. Brilliant. Some of the fight scenes were a bit over the top with the hollywood amount of blows to the head a person can take, but frankly it was a small blemish on otherwise great acting, a good cast and a good story.
D'Onofrio was an excellent bad guy, mind all of the cast were good.

Can't wait for the next season to see Fisk's transformation.

Yeah, it really stamps all over Flash, Arrow & Agents of shield in my view.

It's nice to have a show which isn't aimed at teenage girls. Gotham has potential, but they need to stop introducing every single bad guy in the universe & focus on character development.

Just watched this, loved it, however the supporting cast are awful. Foggy and the women(forgot her name she us so bad).

Are you kidding me?!

They're great! The girl actually acts naturally (instead of it being cheesy and forced) and foggy adds humour to the show.

Love foggy, haha. He was the perfect choice!

It was decent enough show but they need to vary it up in season 2. They are relying on the characters more than plot imo. I also think some of the supporting characters are crap.
Foggy is the stereotypical jovial slightly plump sidekick and the blonde...shes eyecandy and a sortof filler character.

Best character was Vincent D'Onofrio as the Kingpin.

Both myself and wife thought Foggy was rubbish. The woman too, not very good eye candy and awful character. She was ok as a vampire but rotten in this.

Still enjoyed the show despite these two, mainly due to Kingpin and daredevil.

Coincidentally, I just this minute finished it as well. I thought it was excellent. I would honestly say it is now my favourite Marvel IP!

I thought the supporting cast were pretty good. The girl did annoy me a bit as I just don't like the character tbh, but Foggy was fine.

Overall, I thought it was a bit too short. It would have been much better over a longer season. There were a few moments that lacked a little impact due to insufficient build-up imo. Kingpin was brilliant...Also, there was a bit early in the season, maybe the 3rd episode where Daredevil catches an assassin and he kills himself by impaling his own head on a spike, just because he told DD Fisk's name...seriously

It was great but it felt a little inconsistent in pacing and the last episode was a bit of a let down. I'm also not that keen on his suit, I thought it would look much more like the traditional one we see in the credits at the start.

Bring on Bullseye next season :)

The woman too, not very good eye candy

You must be blinder than Matt Murdoch...

I'm now finished with the season and have enjoyed it overall... my main gripe is how much of a god damn pussy Daredevil is by superhero standards. Even fighting bog-standard henchmen seems to take him an age, and sometimes he seems to get overpowered by people who really shouldn't be overpowering him. His punches occasionally seem about half as strong as the average man.

Meh.
