Bioware haven't said anything other than "We are listening". If Bioware release some dlc that isn't ending related, the internet will explode with nerdrage. Its such a pity that the ending sucked since the rest of the game was superb. The only two things that I didn't like were:
The lack of any meaningful consequence of saving the rachni queen in ME1 and not seeing Tali's face on the Quarian homeworld when she removed her helmet.
The music over the entire series was also fantastic.
Also, cutting the Anderson dialogue near the end was weird since it was such a good exchange between him and Shepard.
If you romanced Tali in ME2 (and continue it in ME3) she leaves you a picture of her face, alas said picture is a completely crap photoshop of a stock model pic.
On the Rachni front, maybe not classed as a major consequence but if you save the queen in ME1 and 3 you get the Rachni help as war assets with no probs, if however you kill her in ME1 then save the cloned one (or whatever it is) in ME3, they go on a rampage and lower your war assets.

The indoctrination/hallucination theory does make a lot of sense (especially with that tree) but after the "final hours" thread it seems that it wasn't intended by the devs. Plus, making people pay for the real ending would be outrageous and I'm pretty sure that I read that free content can't be offered on xbox live and ps3 iirc.
Dunno about PS3 but free addons can be done on the xbox, Space Marine's co-op multiplayer mode was a freebie for example.
