*** Mass Effect 3 ***

Im just redoing Mass effect 1 with DLC, its a lot more fun I completed every side mission, but mass effect is something else even when I visit the citadel a 4th or 5th time new missions spawn up....

It is like the game never ends even.

Eventually I played it to death and completed every assignment and mission before heading off the ios to meet saren.

Time to import the character into ME2 DLC and enjoy :)

If I played the series with renegade and played the bad shepard all the way thru would I be able to get more action with liara and ashley and more ?

This is only an ME2 ending spoiler, but I'll use the tags anyway:

How does the ME2 deaths affect core ME3 game? Tali, Garrus and Liara seem to play core parts, how does ME3 work if they are dead?

They are just replaced with other characters. Liara can't die anyway.

I can't imagine playing without Garrus, Tali and Legion. In fact all of the cameos form ME2 characters are very good imo (apart from Jacob obviously)

If I ever play it again I will make sure most survive, I'm not too bothered about Jacob, Zaeed, Kasumi and maybe Samara(actually Samara's cameo is quite good)

Theres no replacement for Garrus, if he dies your down a squadmate (and great banter) for the game. Tali is replaced for story purposes by one of the other admirals but not as a squadmate, again you'd be down one squadmate if she's dead. Liara has plot armour and can't die :p

Depending on your import and choices during ME3 you can end up with only Liara, EDI and Vega for squadmates.

Because he's black?

Have a question about Morinth. I only ran into her on earth when she was one of the screamy wraith things, is there a way to "save" her?

No, afraid not. A similar thing happens to Jack if you don't go to Grissom Academy soon enough, she appears later in the game as a named enemy

Playing through 2 again now. Got some DLC packs and playing on a harder difficulty.

Felt like 2 was the better game out of the three. The first just feels so clunky with its item system and large empty areas that I'm not sure I want to replay it.

3 is just too much like a rising slope to climb a mountain of awesomeness, the higher and further into the game you go, the better it is. Then you hit the top (The dialogues with your team before you assault the citadel teleport), then you trip over a rock and tumble down the other side of the mountain, agony all the way. Then you hit the bottom, and you're lifeless.

Then captain bioware comes up to your corpse, and urinates on it, while smoking a bit fat cigar.

._.;

^Funny, I blame ME2 for wasting too much time faffing about with solving characters' daddy issues and not enough time building the core story, which left a huge burden on ME3.

2 is a fun game, but I think it's the weakest of the trilogy.

Story wise I agree. it does a whole lot of 'Waaa, xyz is bothering me, fix it for me oh great one and i shall be in your debt' so is more about creating the connections than advancing the story.

I actually think the games have got better, until the ending. Not much to choose between any of them.

It does feel a bit pointless getting loyalty in ME2 now though, I mean why don't any of your squad properly join you in ME3

"I could do with your help Zaeed, remember how I sorted out that problem for you? We are good mates right?"

"I can't, I am busy standing around the docking area"

Most of them do contribute in some way, but it would have been nice if they had at least joined you on the Normandy.

Isnt that a good thing? I personally find a lot of the characters individual stories more interesting than the main plotline. I guess that's why I am drawn to 2.

Quick question about this spoiler. How do we know it is her? When I ran through the game first time round, I don't recall any dialogue mentioning it was her?

So do i, but if you get loyalty in ME2, it would be nice if they played a bit of a better role in ME3, for example after Grunt's little bit he just disappears. fair enough he is going off doing his own thing, but why not have him join your squad or at least join you on the normandy?

Overall though, I liked all of the cameos from ME2 characters in ME3.

She is named.

AFAIK If Grunt wasn't loyal in your import he'll die on the Rachni mission. Dunno if that happens with anyone else.

Tbf, given the amount of people, both former squadmates & aquaintances, it was inevitable a little bit of box ticking was going to creep in to the game with regards to characters you've met on your ME travels.

Kasumi could've been handled better, in fact personally i was hoping she might even make it into being a fully fledged squadmate you could really interact with, Zaeed as you pointed out was another box ticking exercise, ditto Jacob Taylor, even Thane felt like a bit of an afterthought.
