*** Mass Effect 3 ***

They nerfed the tactical cloak quite badly today, reducing most people's duration to around 4-5 seconds if you chose rank 4 damage over duration. How long have you been playing to get a black widow x? I've yet to get one!

Sorry for a very late reply. I've been playing MP quite a bit ever since I finished the SP campaign during the game's release. I can't really give a good guess. I still haven't played the extended cut though. Can't be bothered as the initial ending was enough to kill the trilogy for me.

Began playing MP again today to raise my EMS as it was at 51%. I was quite surprised to see the new classes and new game modes - I liked escorting that little drone to a point in the map. I also noticed ammo dispenser turrets or something. Guess that's part of one of the new classes?

Yep, they nerfed the cloak good and proper. Geff the Geth wasn't pleased.

Slow reply but the ammo dispenser if for the demolisher class, whos only abilities are the dispenser and 'nade spam. It's actually quite a good class. Quite a lot of the new classes play very differently which is a good thing

I only just started playing again recently on MP after a bit of a break. But I didnt have a black widow x before I stopped playing :p You must have put in some serious hours for that! My highest n7 weapon is only level 3. Then again I generally only play on bronze/silver to promote my characters and start over, if I just spammed gold from day one it might have been achieveable for me I guess

Looking at my stats sheet, I've got quite a few X rated weaps. My favs are the Revenant and the Widow X (balls, got it mixed up with the black widow rifle!) :o

Tut tut, theres a big difference between the 2 :D

Heres me

I never rated the Revenant much, dps was never as high as it should have been considering the poor accuracy and recoil. The armor mechanics in this game really dont do it any favours either, they should have increased shield/barrier damage per shot if they were going to hurt the low damage per hit weapons with armor so much.

My favourite is probably the carnifex, its such a well rounded, light weapon and so easy to pop heads with. I'm also a fan of the Saber(powerful low ROF AR that sounds like it would tear a tank in half) and the Harrier, which is rediculously good, if you like the Revenant, you will probably love it. High accuracy, high damage and low recoil, its only downsides are a small clip and ammo pool.

I only ever aim for the head, if I can't do that with a weapon consistantly I generally don't bother with it, so accuracy is always going to be a deciding factor with me

Link is blocked at work, will check it later. I always get those two rifles mixed up :p

I loves the Revenant. The lack of DPS is made up for a silly RoF and on a Turian the accuracy is devastating as they have stability bonuses. It really shines with ammo bonuses though.

I am surprised the Carifex hasn't received a nerf. It's accuracy is off the scale from what I recall. I tend to favour the soldier or infiltrator classes mostly (the latter for gold) so I have zero experience in Vanguard or Adepts.

Over the weekend I bought a spectre pack and was blown away to see a Particle Rifle in it. I haven't tried it yet, but it wasn't the best of rifles in SP mode.

The carnifexs accuracy is good, but its not brilliant, its main advantage is it can kill most enemies on bronze with one HS and some on silver if you spec for HS damage. Its useable at all ranges, even long range if you're firing from cover and it doesn't suffer from recoil. The damage is good, but not amazing and the clip and capacity isn't massive either. The saber on the other hand has rediculously good accuracy but its crosshairs suffer from the recoil of each shot so you have to pause if you want to take aimed shots

I generally use caster classes a lot, human engineer is probably my most used class(but I haven't played all the new ones) so I like to keep a 200% cd bonus for explosion spam. Its funny starting as a level 1 on bronze and just going to town on geth/cerberus, no head is left unexploded but it's probably quite frustrating for the other players on the team :p.

Have you tried the vorcha soldier yet? I noticed it on your manifest, he is insane!! Excellent regen abilities means hes probably the most durable class if you're constantly the thick of it and his flamethrower ability melts groups of enemies.

I managed to avoid spoilers and play through this week and completed it last night. The only spoiler I knew about really was that there was some sort of horrendous ending.

As I played though I was loving it and thought what could be THAT bad a ending to render this game gash. Was it just people butthurt because Shepherd died? Did some of the crew die that you cant influence change meaning more butthurt. Happy endings suck, its not going be that bad I thought.

Oh boy I am going back to been a pessimist again. I did not really get the ending. I also chose to control by mistake really.

I just went to the blue because I thought that would be the destroy reapers Shep saves the world and control would have been the red renegade one, the Illusive man control vibe. I was to annoyed and confused at this point.

Did the crew survive or just the 3 that got out of the Normany (Joker, EDI and Tali in my case).

DLC for SP Mass Effect 3 anounced, due this summer!.

Ugh, does this take place in the middle of the game I've already completed?
If so, I'm really not liking the way more and more games are starting to introduce content in the middle of games I've already finished.

Oh, yeah it'll probably add a minor change to the ending somewhere but nothing huge right?

I hated when Deus Ex:HR did this, except that one felt like it was clearly cut out of the game, regardless if it is or isn't it wasn't as fun to play because I already knew the outcome, what the future events were, that all I was playing was filler content instead of something that could've been so much better as being in the main game to add hours of story I hadn't seen or time spent on post ending expansion gameplay.

Just a question for people who have completed the game.

The question is a massive spoiler so don't look if you don't want the endings ruined.

Does Shepherd die in the control and destruction endings? I chose the synthesis ending

Hehe, it's all speculation of course. ;)

But
In destroy there's a hint he/she survives, especially if you download and play the extended cut which seems to support this.

I'm not sure tbh, i "think" it might be like the EC in that you can access it towards the end of the game if you want, either way tis due on the 28th Aug, so we'll find out soon enough.

Personally i don't expect it to add anything to the ending other than a couple of lines of dialogue earlier on.
