*** Mass Effect 3 ***

After playing alan wake this feels clunky and old. Hide behind cover shoot aliens rinse and repeat.. I found the demo a bit lacking hopefully the full game will be better especially the running animation....

why is collector's edittion so expensive?

When was the last time you saw any Collector's Edition cheap for any game on its release ?

They are meant to be luxury items so they will never be cheap imo.

I seriously cannot think of one single game that had a CE that was below £50. (not including indie titles like meatboy etc..)

As of the running animation, i thought to myself.... what is this ? even CS1.5 looks much better in terms of running animation.

i hope they have time to patch all this **** up. ME3 is at Gold stage now, so its too late to have all those changes in final release.

The question is though, is this demo a final build (ala finished product) or is it just an old build. I mean they have had ME3 demos at computer shows so are they just using an old build.

"Let's see how they handle a krogan airdrop aaaaaargh"

Then jumps down about 1 metre.

"I don't take orders from you anymore, remember?"

"consider yourself reinstated!"

another cringe.

I thought the "emotional" part was fairly hacky as well. Now I realise that it's possible to enjoy games with a rubbish story or cheesy dialogue(Metal gear solid, just cause 2 etc), but it's not going to fly in a game where all that is left to keep you interested is the story and dialogue.

I may be remembering ME2 more fondly than I should be and I've been since spoiled by things like DE:HR and The Witcher 2, but try as I might, I can't think this demo is anything more than average and worse than the previous parts. The fan in me is still holding out for lots of good news on the full game and I pray my gut feeling and the demo isn't the whole story.

Simples.

Copy the game files from one PC. Begin the download on the new PC with Origin. Pause the download, close Origin then copy and merge the already downloaded folder with the "new" download folder.

Origin may or may not download something small and you should be able to install it right away without much more download.

That doesn't work, it's exactly what I've done, word for word.
I've also tried putting the folder their before install and some other methods.

:D

Started up the game, was half way through the first cutscene and suddenly thought "what am I doing?" so I quit and I'll leave it 'til release now;)

I resisted!

From what I saw though the graphics seemed pretty good actually, textures still aren't great but not as bad as I was expecting. Other than that though the graphics were better than I thought

PS also, though I have played ME2 quite a few times, I still have not played Arrival!

I bought all the DLC a few weeks ago and managed to finish them off during my reading week.

If you have cash for it, get them I'd say. If you're a huge ME fan then definitely.

If not, just look up a youtube video of it.

Arrival was terrible. Especially considering the work they put into the brilliant LotSB.

It should really have been free, there is nothing in the way of choice or interesting plot, most of the things that made ME2 great have been removed. It's nothing more than a very lacklustre reason for Shepard's status at the beginning of ME3,
a status that they turn right back around to where it was within 5 minutes.

ps these spoiler tags are awful. would it be hard to implement the kind that hide the letters but don't destroy the uniformity of posts? The kind you just need to highlight.
