*** Mass Effect 3 ***

Like I said, this is pretty common in the software industry. There is a complete package and there packages which are based on the complete one but where functions are removed so that they can be sold at a lower price. You want the full Mass Effect 3 Edition with all features included? That costs £55. From your viewpoint that would be the standard edition.

You don't know what the content is do you?

It is not a "function that is removed so that hey can sell it at a lower price", it is a major piece of Mass Effect Lore, which was made for the game and then cut out of it. It is not a weapon or armour or something, it is a very important(to anyone who had played ME) character. You might be happy for games to start selling at £55 now, but I am not!

Anyway, as I said earlier I also think they will go back on this, as it is going to far.

Don't worry people, whoever thinks prices are too high, can always download....... insert here....

This is only way to fight greedy b*stards :)

Bioware Defend Mass Effect 3From Ashes Day One DLC

^ Contains many spoilers
IMO it is absolute BS that they created this content after the game was finished, and if it is true then I despair at the quality of the game if this is how they are creating the story-

"Well we have finished the game now, but I have an idea, shall we make a fully fleshed out Prothean character and incorporate him in to the main game?"

"What, why would we do that? We have just made the game, nobody has mentioned this before, it would surely mess with the story we have already created"

"We can charge for it"

"DO IT!!!"
Is that how they are doing things?

'tis a disgrace, it must be said. Day one DLC, regardless of it's gameplay importance is distasteful and has to be contested by the 'community'.

I was never planning to jump in on launch day anyway. I was always going to let that inflated price drop a fair whack, and now I can see what effect TB's latest rabid rant has on EA. None, I suspect. :(

OMG FFS I was just reading up on the Mass Effect wiki to catch up on all the lore and remind myself on what race is what and who does what and stumbled upon the the ME3 DLC spoiler. You gotta be careful everywhere. IMO the spoiler is a big deal if you're into the history of the ME universe.

Of course it is a function. The only difference is that this function exists to entertain you instead of improving your work efficiency. The whole game is a collection or collective of functions that serve entertainment.

People will always moan like **** yelling boycott, but they still buy it. EA wont change that way.

The problem is that EA doesn't make profit. They're in the negative mostly. Of course the consumers can bring about changes if they are organized. But there will be a lot of collateral damage on the part of the employees in the process.

Why were you frustrated? Bad at games?

Too many females characters :p

The mining aspect of the game was really tedious. It ruined the game for me, as resources were necessary to upgrade and survive the final showdown or something like that. Halfway through mining a planet, i put down the pad and turned the game off.
As much as i like the story, i couldnt continue out of shear boredom.
So yes i was frustrated that i couldnt finish a game i liked because of stupid gameplay decisions.
