*** Mass Effect 3 ***

This makes me fear for the direction of the ME3 storyline. I didn't like how they swapped most of the main quest for follower recruitment/loyalty missions in ME2 and now it seems they're spinning off major plot revelations into DLC. I think I'll wait until it's cheaper and/or bundled with all DLC included.

The mining aspect of the game was really tedious. It ruined the game for me, as resources were necessary to upgrade and survive the final showdown or something like that. Halfway through mining a planet, i put down the pad and turned the game off.
As much as i like the story, i couldnt continue out of shear boredom.
So yes i was frustrated that i couldnt finish a game i liked because of stupid gameplay decisions.

You only need to mine half a dozen high-yield planets really. There are guides, but yeah, having to use online help to get through the tedium isn't the best solution.

Cancelled my pre-order over this, not particularly happy with the way it's been handled, it's essentially like the Cerberus pass used with ME2 but in this case it's not second hand buyers who have to fork out but first time buyers as well.

I'm not going to lie, I will buy it eventually but it'll be a couple of months down the line when the price has significantly dropped. It really is a shame as Bioware used to be an instant buy for me.

link please

It has been known for ages, here is a link- http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/01/27/t...dd-free-areas-quests-and-characters-in-april/

^^ I really don't want to be treated this way, but I don't think I can cancel, this is Mass Effect!

Is it going to drop though, Origin exclusive with an online pass for multiplayer....

I know but screw it, I have enough games to keep me ticking over in the interim and I'll just run away from any thread talking about ME3 for the next couple of months.

So long as we continue to buy into this crap the developers will continue to pull it, and worse.

Sorry - new to this thread...

Considering a retail PC game in the early 90s cost £40-45, I don't have too much objection to paying that much for a new game and an additional DLC bit.

It's disappointing to hear that it was probably cut from the game to release as DLC, but thanks to people like me who are too old, don't have enough time in the day and can stomach the cost, it's a bit of an irrelevance and possilby won't stop companies doing this...

The main irriration being I now have to install the game AND THEN the DLC.

It's not just the cost issue though. I think seeing an IP as a cash cow means the artistic vision gets sidelined, possibly resulting in a poorer quality game. Armoured horses and silly things like that can be ignored, but carving up the game into DLC segments is something else.

I love the people defending Bioware over this, saying that the dlc was always planned for the CE as a bonus for "loyal fans"

"WE have a real treat for all you long-term fans of the series, a new character important to the lore. We love you loyal fans .....$10"

And the worst thing...... Why is this even dlc?
