ME1, 2 and 3 were all fantastic. There is zero risk in preordering this.

Mass Effect is one of, if not the only title that has earned a purchase on name alone.

Any game can turn out to be a ****. I love the first 3 but this is a whole new game and story. The style of the game doesn't even seem the same to me. The trailers also left me really really underwhelmed. I just don't expect big things from it. Never an excuse to preorder in my book and I'll wait till it launches and comfirmed its not a buggy poorly portrd mess before jumping into it.

Pre-Ordered the deluxe edition earlier during the sale. Can't wait! I'm almost tempted to start another playthrough of the trilogy before it comes out

I don't think it was a sale I think it was a screw up as they pulled it far to quick for it to be a genuine sale, either way I managed to get the deluxe for £38.49 & it's showing in my game library, but I have my doubts EA will honour the sale, I really hope they do tho obviously.

Normally I would pre-order this in a heart-beat, but given how I am currently disenfranchised with gaming a bit, I'll hold out for reviews and discounts.

Same. I love ME to bits but I want to hold out for reviews and stuff. I say that now but come nearer the time i'll probably end up pre ordering it

Even if it's "bad" at launch, the DLC etc will make it great, always does. Even with Fallout 4, which was pointed out above.. the DLC made that great too.

Unusually, I'm not that bothered about the story. I just want the multiplayer to be as good as ME3's. I spent the whole of 2012 and most of 2013 playing nothing but that.

Hey Folks i'm new to the series, I was wondering if i should be playing all 3 previous titles before this or should i not bother as i heard Mass Effect 3's ending got a lot of heat.

The trilogy is one of the best, if not the best game series I have played. 1 and 2 are amazing so they are worth playing regardless, the third is ok and better now they changed the ending.

The story doesn't continue in this game but the lore and universe is the same so I would play them, but then I am biased

I'd play them all regardless of the ending. I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending but I've played through them all countless times.

One thing I don't like is how their really trying to make the whole combat side seem more 'twitchy' and fast paced. Not keen at all. Not one bit. I want an RPG to focus on the role playing elements!

I fear this will simply be a shooter with RPG elements.
