****MASS EFFECT : ANDROMEDA****

Thanks for the reminder Zola, I think that's who I used originally but I thought they ended up squished??:D must be a memory glitch:o:D

I believe it's a) you need to send a tech expert, b) they need to be loyal and c) you need to do it in time. There's a flow chart somewhere on the Internet detailing the relevant decisions which mean that people live or die.

Thanks SiD, I'll have a look:) I hadn't really thought how long ago it was I last played ME2:eek: I've just been endorsing all the stores on the Citadel and telling the reporter to do one!!:D

Really looking forward to Andromeda just need to avoid spoilers:)

I more or less remember the Collector base selection grouping.

For the infiltration (first) of the Collector Base in ME2, the person you want to survive needs to be a Loyal tech specialist person as SiD said correctly, this means Tali, Kasumi or Legion. I normally send Tali.
The leader of the other team needs to be a "leader" person, so Garrus, Miranda or Jacob. I normally send Garrus.
For Team Mates, any of your choice. But I normally take Kasumi and Legion. Kasumi for her Flashbang ability and Legion to range snipe everything not in range yet.

On rescuing your crew of the Normandy, I typically send Mordin, as typically not ideal in my play (Adept). But memory serves that any of the low defense team mates are ideal to escort the crew back as a good blockade team is needed for the bit after the next.

For the long swarm walk (second) bit, you want to assign a Loyal Biotic for the field, this means Samara (or Morinth) or Jack.
The leader of the other team should again be a leader type, so you're likely to pick again: Garrus, Miranda or Jacod. I normally pick Miranda, but that's due to her being unable to die in this part.
For Team Mates, again, any choice. But once again I prefer Kasumi and Legion.

The more team mates you have standing at the end of that forms a "blockade" to give you time to complete the final fight. Usually not a problem if you have all DLC and did all loyalty missions. The more the merrier.

Finally, bring whoever you need for the final fight. Again, I typically bring Kasumi, but I sometimes alternate Legion over to Jack occasionally depending on my play (Game or Game+).

The new video looks even better than the previous gameplay video.

I see singularity is getting a shield piercing evolution - looks like that's going to be a thing then.

Also the overall aesthetic of mass effect struck me most in this recent video - I was beginning to think it was going even more to usual generic science fantasy, but it seems to be maintaining its own identity. It's hard to put a finger on exactly what features are maintaining this, but it's noticeable overall. For example I'm glad the armour is going back for some of that retro sleeker look of ME1 than the bulkier space marine style of the sequels.

I dunno - everything seemed to flow really well in that trailer. Feeling some more hype now - not anticipated a game like this since ME2.

Yeah while I want to know enough to make an informed choice about putting my money down, this is the point in the marketing cycle where I tap out, so I don't learn everything about the game before release!

I'm not fussed about seeing what the game has to offer, just don't want spoilers.

With the 1080ti less than a week away, I really want to know if my 980ti will handle this at 1440p...

It's the frostbite engine, if you play any other game with that engine and it runs fine this will too.

Run BF1 @ ultra 1440p easily get 70+fps, so that's filled me with some confidence. It's a damn good looking engine.

I'm in the same boat and been tempted to upgrade if it is the 1080ti that gets announced next week purely to max everything out and get hopefully 100fps @ 3440x1440.

Thankfully my monitor is only 60Hz, which kind of negates the need for higher fps... Although, a 1080ti will be LOVELY.
