****MASS EFFECT : ANDROMEDA****

Thanks guys, loving ME2 all over again:)

IGN preview:

No Spoilers as such but if you don't want to know anything then don't click!:p

In summary after watching this I'm even more excited:cool:

1: Diverse environments that feel unique.

2: Immersive crafting.

3: Immersive sound scape.

4: Star map looks awesome.

5: Jet pack fun...

:)

Then the down sides she highlighted :(

1: VERY buggy, almost not playable according to her and that was in an incredibly powerful PC

That's about it really, which they've got a month to sort out.

Strange that the recommended GPU is a 1060 when a 980ti still out performs it.

Compared to other games that use Frostbite, the specs there seem to be overkill.

Probably just covering themselves with the specs.

Frostbite engine is my second favourite game engine to the snowdrop engine, it looks so damn good and is optimised extremely well, every game that has used it i.e. bf 1, battlefront etc. runs great maxed out, even on my PC. I suspect with this one being more open and having a bigger scale, it might be a bit more demanding, at least more so on the CPU anyway.

Here's hoping that they have enabled the dx 12 option too.

I played Ghost Recon not so long ago and it had some glaring bug oddities (although I did still enjoy it).
From the stream of it I watched yesterday all those bugs have gone.
It seems these things can get sorted out in not much time.

Haha, first time I look at a recommended specs and can say I meet it, these feels man. Even though it's complete BS and doesn't reflect real world performance. Bring it on! I just hope they won't plan to milk another £100 of story DLC from us (yeah...).

There will be DLC, it's inevitable. Season pass is definitely worth it for Mass Effect though :) .. if they make one available.

Eeee, seems my i5 3570k @ 4.2Ghz might be pushing it for recommended specs... 980ti is a fair step up from a 1060 so at least that's not too bad. Assuming the above specs are based on 1080p, it might be a fairly demanding game!

The specs dont make sense. A 3570k is faster than a 8350.

Hmmm. Concerned about the "rumored" day 1 patch being needed (sounds like waiting is a good idea for bugs to iron out), and the fact that I've only got a HD7950 powering the main rig. Will probably wait and see what others have running to do a rough comparison before I return proper then. Although everything is intriguing enough to pique my interest, so that's always a good sign (despite any technical issues). Hope all issues are ironed out quickly.

At this point, I'm going to agree, but knowing me. Being a ME fan, I'll cave in a week before launch... I was even debating taking a couple of days off to play it.

New video up on masseffect.com part 5 for weapons training. FYI it randomly pauses on the different weapons, Annoyed the hell out of me when I was watching.

A considerable chunk of games have day 1 patches these days. It's not something to be concerned over.

Better that they're patching it day 1 than waiting a week.

oh I'll cave for my youtube channel :D still a little bitter about ME3 ending; I should finish my play through with all dlc.......just hard LOL
