Just can't bring myself to buy this dunno why, though I'm loath to give EA any of my money these days. I loved the original and was looking forward to this but so many recent games have been huge disappointments for me and seeing people generally critical of it I just don't want to be disappointed again and ruin the good memories of ME1/2.

I think it's brilliant. Incredible looking and the story is very interesting so far.

Completely agree. Looks stunning and gameplay/story are very fun/engrosing.
Im 3 hours in so not much and only spoken to cora but then her dialog seems to give impression she is into your character by default

Is anyone else having random crashs or direct x error crashs? I have tried everything I can think of to try to get it to run . Max I can play is 30 mins before it crashs to desktop. I tried AB and it shows the system ram use is between 12-15.5 gb . I have 16 gig could it be that the game is useing more then 16 gb of ram and thats the cause of my problems? I did a fresh reinstall of the day 1 release drivers for the titan xp all my other games run nps. Tried borderless windows/full screen and that has the same crash problems.This is dam frustrating!

Where as for me, the only one that was decent was the first one, rest are ****. Horses for courses I suppose
I loved the first resident evil movie. After that.... well i put the latest one on the other night and turned it off after a humvee flew through the air into a dragons face??? Yeah lost it's charm compared to old. MEA however, i don't feel has. It's just a little bit buried behind an open world.
I may watch it, as it is the last one, but I get the feeling it maybe a complete waste of time. They should reboot the movie and make it properly like it should be, none of this Alice crap.
To be honesty I was half expecting you to say, what you on about mate, Resident Evil are some of the best movies out there!!

For anyone else running 21:9 and want a fix for the blackbars whilst ingame cutscenes are playing:
You need flawless widescreen installed first then do the following:

Download that.
Go to where FWS is installed (Program Files (x86))
Unpack the files inside there.
When ask to overwrite just say yes.
Start FWS.
In the Installed fixes part you should now have ME:Andromeda there.

There is a tiny glitch when the game switches between cinematics. The black bars can be visible for like 0.5 second. Nothing really big, but there is this tiny glitch.

A bit off topic but I just watched the latest resident evil and as per what I said in the movies thread - I literally rate it as one of if not the worst movies I've ever watched - based on the potential/experience involved and the results. The writing is dire the camera work is dire the story lacks anything compelling. To be fair many of the actors put in a good turn but they are basically lugging a ton of dead weight around going nowhere. Likewise I really loved the first movie which comes back to ME - I hear far too many people saying it isn't a patch on the original game, which is one of my favourites, and people who I usually find end up being right relative to my expectations, even though a bit full of themselves, being fairly critical of it and I have a feeling I'd be disappointed.

Would i say it's AS good as the first game.. no in all honesty i wouldn't. Would i say it is as well optimised as the first one actually id say more so ( down to my own experience of both. ) Is the story compelling and deep? Absolutely im always finding myself eager for more. Are the animations a bit... off. Yeah but to be frank the game play/story more than makes up for it. At the moment i don't entirely care if it picks it's nose and farts in bed because i want to keep playing it. Of course it's hard to persuade someone that they could be missing out on something without spoiling anything and im one for not spoiling things.
I can however put my enjoyment of the game into perspective however.
I ordered it from a keysite whom i had many issues with. I got it late, ( over a week after i ordered it ) they had no communication skills what so ever and just blatantly ignored me even going as far as hanging up on me on the phone upon quoting my reference number. I ended up going to paypal about this and paypal advised me to send an official warning to them VIA paypal and if i got not response within 3 days i would have my money back from paypal.
After buying it ( and avoiding hype trains ) memes/bad reviews became unavoidable and i thought oh for **** sake ive waisted my money. And was glad i was being had over by this key site as i could get my money back from paypal in a few days. 2 days later my game key arrived and i had to cancel the claim. Needles to say im beyond glad that they eventually sent me the key as i would have missed out on something that i can truly enjoy.

I believe it could be classed as a marmite game. I can understand the criticisms i just don't fully agree with the extent of how bad they are. I've seen people comparing it to no mans sky and that just blew my mind that someone would do that.
Oh gawd, I will definitely not bother watching it now.
Yeah, I am the same. Loved ME, even read the audio book and felt it was such a great and engrossing universe. Then ME2 happened and I started losing interest and has been downhill ever since. Had small hope for ME:A as I know what these publishers are like these days. They do not design a game from the foundations to be a great game. They design it taking into account max sales, which ends up making it dumbed down in every way
That is why I think the next two big games I will really enjoy will be Cyberpunk 2077 and Star Citizen Squadron 42. But I am very optimistic about Prey also.

I'm getting the same crashes as well. I'm using 2 Titan xps.
To be fair the actual concept of how it all ties up/ends is quite good - the execution though is poor and there are massive flaws in the detail.
