****MASS EFFECT : ANDROMEDA****

Yawn.

Name more than 2 people on the Dev team who that applies to...

All of them. :p

In all seriousness..... what went wrong here? Did EA put an unrealistic deadline on it?

I'm actually quite enjoying it but some of the voice acting is terrible. The Krogan sounds like a gay teen skater. Thought they all had that gruff harshness to them.

Are you playing the PC version? Is the pad support mod working perfectly ?

Yep, PC version. Absolutely!

Wouldn't want to play it without the pad now, you can tell the game was designed with it in mind.

Only thing missing is vibration support.

EDIT:

Actually there is some vibration...

Well, replaying ME1, it turns out Krogans have four testicles. Maybe he was a victim of Dr. Saleon's great great grandson :p

Rushed through the last few missions to finish the main story just so I could see it. Now I'm taking my time and going for 100% in new game+ mode... but I just don't feel like doing it. Given that most quests are just 'Go to X and scan Y of object Z'.. I just don't have the motivation.

Are the loyalty quests at least worth it?

I dont even know why half of them are called that as have little to do with character or frankly, why should I care about them? They dont die and many don't impact the outcome.

I did a 50% finish and now completionist but haven't felt the motivation. If this was ME1-3 then I would.

Loving this game so far, and that's with only 30 hours in. The story has been well thought out and put together. So much so that I failed to realise I did 11 hours today
Such a good game, totally immersed with it!!

THe games core, is great, sensible story with a good plot, well meaning characters and bloody fun combat.
But the bugs. My God the bugs. I have the banter bug, and I've not played in 3 days now, absolutely ruined the experience for me.

But the sense of loss I feel tells me that prior I was having an absolute blast! Otherwise I wouldn't be this peeved that I can no longer play.
So yeah I think anyone coming to this game in 6 months when it's fixed up some, for £30 or less is gonna have a wonderful time, as its core is a tremendous game, but I right now I feel burnt as early purchaser.

So how many hours is it taking to properly complete the game, ie, not rushing through, doing side quests, conversing with NPCs etc.

I've not done many of the side quests (Optional Assignments) and I'm 30 hours in. I've cleared 1 planet of all objectives and back on EOS to do the same.

I'm just over 20 hours played now and only just finished my second planet, yes some of the animations are way off but I'm still enjoying playing this, the combat is refreshing and some of planets look amazing whilst driving around.

Killed my first Architect yesterday and damn that was the hardest fight I've had in a game for ages.

i just found the architect on voeld and he wiped me out

question..if I have finished voeld can i do the other angara planet mission or should I just contact their head man again?

You can yes but you're not restricted to a certain order...well, apart from finding leads on the arks.

Yeah, that one took me 4-5 attempts (lol) but I finally got there.

Spoiler...

The one on EOS was easier as it's a closer combat but that wasn't the hardest fight for me. That hardest was the first Remnent Architect. The 2nd one on EOS was harder due to lack of cover but that may have just been me

I'm really enjoying MP. I freaking love boosting up, shooting, dodging forward, power melee and shooting again. I'm only playing bronze but it's great fun so far. I feel more like I'm in the Matrix Reloaded rather than Mass Effect when shooting those Remnant flying things.

Tried MP Friday night, it's fun but unless you get a good group actually surviving the strike team missions is a challenge in itself.

Yeah I've survived them all so far, but they've all been bronze. I was usually playing Gold in ME3MP but it's a different kettle of fish and learning curve. One thing about ME:A that they've seemingly listened to fans about is RPG. There is a lot more fiddly crafting and inventory to play around with. I still don't fully understand augmentations and blueprints.

Augments once learnt can go onto your gear when you craft it, you'll have little circles at the bottom of the item to put them in.
Blueprints are a pain tbh, you need to scan everything to get research points up, once you've got enough you can then research the item which unlocks the blueprint ready for crafting.

Am 50 hours in, 10 of it in multiplayer and cleared 2 planets now. I am loving this game so far. Sometimes the whole driving around can get boring somewhat, but on the other hand, fits with the game being an explorer and all.

I expect I will be spending many many hours in multiplayer once done aswell. For me, well worth the £35 or so I paid on CD keys.:)

Really?...From what I have seen I thought the complete opposite. The dialogue choices are limited, with barely any difference in the options you get, the main character has an even more rigidly defined character than Shepard did, you don't get to choose what the character says(in fact it looks even more vague than ME3!), and it looks like everyone will end up with pretty much the same bland character. Combat-wise it looks like with there not being properly defined classes, again everyone will just end up playing the game in pretty much the same way.

It barely looks like an RPG at all!
