:D
Some people on this forum seem to think he's the next ironman of hell. lol

WTF! that materazzi **** never be allowed to play football that is an absolute disgrace. He looks like a bully in a primary school who cant play football so kicks everyone. Not only is it shocking play but he is putting peoples careers on the line with some of those tackles, dodgy two legged tackles/kicks  What makes it worse he just walks off and knows what hes done and dont really care

Jesus! Watch one compilation of him and he's the baddest man around. He is nowhere as bad as those clips make him out to be, yes he can be a thug but he can be an outstanding player too. He had a fantastic WC some even say they were glad Nesta was out injured, and I can see where they are coming from as Matrix is not just a defender but loves to go forward too.

at the end of the day materazzi could have said the worst thing imaginable, but zidance should NOT have reacted in that way, on the world stage representing football, stupid thing to do

He's human! m8!

I only have to have a bit of passion and adreniline running through me and anyone who says anything insulting about me, my family or my friends and they get what's deserved!

Mattarazi was clever, he cheated the french out of the victory. FOotball isnt about skill anymore, it's about how clever, decieving and downwright unsporting a team is. The italians are the best at this, hence the victory :) It's not wrong at all, as thats how the games played. If it was about skill, possesion, etc... then the french would have won. & thats a completly impartial view, as I really couldn;t care about the winners at this moment in time.

Regardless i think the insults to materazzi should at least wait until we know what was said. He is being blamed for everything from laughing at a cancer death, insulting zidanes family, calling him a terrorist, calling his mum a terrorist...etc

You have no idea what was said and it will be Zidane's word (trying to salvage his reputation by exaggerating what was said) Vs. Materazzi (denying anything he may have said). It doesnt matter. What matter is that Zidane should have kept his head. He didnt and paid the price. It doesnt matter that Materazzi made bad challenges in the past. Should other teams be free to stamp on rooney or slide him out badly because he did it this WC??

Zidane is a great player and a true legend of the game. He also has a history of being violent on the pitch and regardless of what was said yesterday he shouldnt have reacted like that. He got himself sent off and maybe France would have walked away winners if he hadnt (then he really would have been the bigger man and someone to admire as a role-model).

Mate with all due respect, any 'man' can be said to have a history of violence. Any red blooded male will of been proked in his time, and of reacted to this. Of course the iti's won't agree with this as majority of them shy away from violence and prefer to be clever! I mean ffs, there goverment swapped and changed sides in a war because they knew that there conscription policies would fall on deaf ears as there 'subjects' couldn't bear war! runs in there blood tbh. They won, lets deal with it. How they won is a different matter entirely. the best team didnt win at all, so stfu nedved.. and whoever else.

I didnt watch the match, i was working, was Henry subbed early?

Zidane thought "**** it, he is going to get this"

You can see Zidane thinking " i have got away with this" he shows no actions.

It was his last game, it was for the final of the World Cup, there was 10 mins to go, he knew what he was doing.

Apparently on ITV news this was what the Italian said:

"I slept with your mother last night, she's an algerian whore."

You could lip read it on ITV also.

World cup final or not

if thats true and someone said that to me they would be lucky to get off with only a headbutt

If someone said that about my mother I'd probably just laugh.
Yeah, I just don't get why you would get so mad when someone says that?

I would expect it in a soccer match really, especially against the Italians or Portugese :o

Soccer isn't about who is the best team, it is about who can cheat the best and is the smartest.
What the sport needs is the refs being allowed to see replays so they can make a better decision.

I'm also pretty sure that somebody could put a montage together of Gary lineker being the dirtiest footballer ever.

That is one of my pet peeves tbh.Seemingly everytime there is a discussion on a particularly nasty incident the counter argument is that the victim has done something bad in the past and here is the vid to prove it.So what? unless it is directly relevant,ie same two players roles reversed or at least showing a history between the two ; it is no excuse.
