Saw it last night.
Didn't the other crew members (morpheus, trinity, etc....) say they weren't sure what stopped the sentinals? mentioning something about an EM pulse I think. so maybe he didn't affect them at all.
Only another idea. If that was the case, why would Neo have fallen into a coma?
If they do do a matrix inside a matrix thing, I think that'd be a bit of a cop out.
Aye. If you play "enter the matrix" you get to kill loads of them. Using wooden stakes. Which somehow disrupt the code of the programs (that's the matrix adapting to rogue programs by the way)
OHHHHH YEAH! That level is likely to be a hell of a lot better than the Buffy game.
Why exactly? Wouldn't it just add a further level of complexity to the whole thing that would be so much in keeping with style?
It would be another plot twist that people weren't expecting. It would, in my view, make the film even more interesting. You see the real fight for freedom. The real freeing of souls.

People weren't expecting? If it were to happen it wouldn't be unexpected, they'd have to do something I hadn't thought of to make it surprising to me.
Judging by peoples comments in this thread I'd say that if it turned out to be a matrix inside a matrix it wouldn't be entirely unexpected.
There's no doubting it'd make it more interesting though. Would make it a nightmare for the writers to make sure there weren't any plot holes as a result of the matrix inside a matrix thing!!

As soone as i heard Neo say, " Somethings different " i knew exactly what he was gonna do and i had already began to think of the plot for the matrix revolutions. That it could be a matrix inside a matrix. Its just too easy to realise that.
yeah but if they had a matrix within a matrix plot i think it would be good on a philosophical level because it would just add to the question of "what is real?" i mean even if they realised that zion was in the matrix, and they all escape into the "real real world" whats to say that isnt just another level of the matrix? whats to say there is even a real world at all? i think it would make the story a whole lot deeper.
as for the werewolves, i think u mean vampires? silver bullets and wooden steaks?

It's supposed to be, according to mythology. Silver bullets for Werewovles, and Stakes for vampires.
But hey.. you've got to allow the matrix some kind of poets licence as it were.

Ive still got reservations on this matrix inside a matrix thing... as for the em pulse arnt the robots harvesting us for our ELECTRICITY???? mebe neos found a way to control it which would xplain the em pulse and his coma????
i still think agent smith plays a larger part in neos talent outside of the matrix
Its not suppose to be all mass complicated about how he stopped them. Its suppose to be quite simple as in he's got those same powers in the real world as in the matrix. Stopping bullets. Stopping centinals.
Although i guess we'll find out in the final movie.
But still i dont think its suppose to be some big complicated thing about how he's figured out some amazing way to stop them through electricity or something.
He says oh somethings different. Feels all big and manly. being the one and all. Goes over raises his hand. Oh they stop. But wait its the real world. I'll collapse now cause it used all my mental capacity to do it.

I think you're really clutching at straws there, to be honest. How on earth would the electricity have got from the harvesting points to Neo? How on earth would something that powerful have run through him without frying him to a crisp?!?!

we must remember that if they were in the real world, why would neo have powers? it is no longer mind over matter and they can no longer just break rules as if it were a computer program. this is why i think he must realise he is still in the matrix..
