I don't think you need to grip with proper snatch width on K. Presses, just wide enough; having your arms making like two 45 degree's (like a V) seems to be sufficient, as BTN presses with the kind of thumbs near delts width you'd use for typical OHP = no thanks shoulders jeff.
The main potential for damage is getting sloppy letting the bar come down and it landing on bone rather than your traps. Very much a case of no thanks jeff.
