NeilFawcett What I'm saying is that bhavv is using the words of ex-followers as fact. We have no idea the exact reasons why they're ex-followers, we only have their word and we already know how people in the media put a spin on things for their own personal benefit. Things are almost always taken out of context or mistranslated and taken word for word by readers of that translation, which appears to be the case in the quotes and things posted by the likes of bhavv.

I've already said it countless times but it's unfair to either party to side only one way, you have to weigh the good and the bad of both sides but at the moment bhavv and his friends /only/ view it one way and will not accept any other opinion whatsoever and of course this leads other people to respond likewise.

You can't fight close minded religious nutjobs (of which there are many I agree) by being a close minded nutjob yourself especially when both sides fail to accept that not everyone is the particular way they make them out to be.

The craziness comes from these backward ass countries and a minority who still feel they need to follow their book down to the last word; even this causes me some confusion as it is the Hadiths where the real problems lie is it not?

Draw Muhammad day was just to show non muslims can draw Muhammad, we probably shouldn't do it all the time as it does offend a large group of people but we shouldn't be forced not to because of threats of violence. Its like when South Park mocks Jesus, they don't do it every show and most of the time Jesus is shown in a good light, only an certain instances is he shown in a degrading manner. Same goes for Muhammad, shame moderates were offended but welcome to the free world where we can all choose to be offended by a number of things.

Was an entire day a bit much? Well it was the culmination of all the previous events such as the danish riots, Theo Van Gough, Anjem banging on about Shariah Law and how islam will rule the west. I think it was a good way to draw the line and give the proverbial middle finger to the extremists who think their threats mean something but continuing this annually will cause unnecessary offense. Criticism and mocking of all religions is fine within our society instead of make this a recurring event we should just support artists when they are infringed upon in the future.

I can accept that Islam has a lot of bad points to it...theres no denying that and i dont deny that as a muslim myself but if bhavv and tip top want to be taken seriously by the muslim members on here, which there arent many then they would be wise to try and balance their arguements with also the good points of Islam....but lets be honest if they did that then their arguements wouldnt hold much water tbqh. Well he was wrong about the meaning of islam as proved.
He was wrong about the Quran stating women not allowed to drive a car which he admitted.
He was wrong also about women having less value than a man as i copy/pasted proof.

Now i have next to zero knowledge of Islam but it didn't take long to find out he was lying....Why people expect Spawn to sit here and defend all the crap and insults thrown at him i have no idea.
Im sure if i can find the answers using google pretty quickly then so can others if they really wanted to.

You are a weak individual to feel the need to include my family into this, but say whatever you like.

Now explain to me, what did I say that was a lie, because I would like to actually know. I cant see any BS in what I have said, because there actually isnt any from what I can see.

Also, the 'out of context' excuse is the oldest trick in the book for religion to try and back out of any kind of criticism. Are you religious? Which religion do you follow, because you definately sound theist to me from using the lame 'out of context' excuse.

I think hinduism is vile, and I have 'criticized' it plenty of times, and Christianity as well.

However, this thread is not about those religions, and also Islam is much far worse off than the rest of them combined are.

Its sad that he feels the need to dis-respect his mother for her religious beliefs...i mean geez my mum herself is a very religious muslim herself...prays 5 times a day, reads the Quran amongst other things that a good muslim should do...and even if i dont agree with her i would in no way dis-respect her religious beliefs...thankfully that goes for anyone whos an elder and trust me i have a few uncles and aunties who are quite religiously minded and i get the sermons etc but NEVER EVER would i disrespect them...i give my parents enough kudos to have raised me and my brothers to respect our elders no matter how wrong they may be....and thats something Islam teaches as well.

1) I were correct about the meaning of Islam, it is Submission, Obedience, Peace.

I made a typo that I corrected after you pointed it out, yet you think that obvious mistakes are lies.

2) I also admitted that I were incorrect on this as I confused that a law in Saudi Arabia was based off the Koran.

3) Serious lol. Go read any testimonies from Women who have left Islam and what they say.

The fact that its gone completely OT and now has turned into a lets bash islam for the hell of it type of thread???...or has that completely and utterly gone over your head??...i havent said i dont like the subject....i have no problems with criticisms of Islam in all honesty but i do have an issue when it turns into a bashfest...perhaps i should start a topic on jews or some other religious group and turn it into a bashfest....it wouldnt stay open for long.

Of course you would say its rubbish...i dont expect any less of you in all honesty. But time and time again i have argued the positives of things....whether you choose to see that is your problem and not mine.
