McDonald’s general discussion

milk isn't massively available in Spain due to less grazing land for cows so most is imported,

I don't even know where to start with how wrong you are! Lol!

I went to consum today (spanish tesco) and picked up 6 litres..

they also do a very good mango and passion fruit drinking yoghurt....

Yeah, think it's mainly just in the small village i'm in, none of the local supermarkets do fresh milk, it's all UHT, and then if i venture out to some of the bigger towns it's usually hit and miss as to whether they have it in stock. Maybe just a demand thing. Never had issues anywhere else, but everyone just described it as being due to lack of grazing cows in Spain. It's more common to have fresh goat milk where we are.

There are a few articles out there discussing it

Was travelling back from Manchester late last night and stopped off for a late night Maccie's just as we left the city - that was a mistake!

A 'gang' of 7 - 8 kids, must have been about 12 years old were running around in the place, one was non-stop banging on the window from the outside and then one of them decided to ride their bike into the place and around all the tables!

One of the staff was talking to them, but not in a GTFO type of way, but laughing and joking - so seems to be the norm there. Very weird.

Not really sure, i know they have different menus around the world. Same with breakfast, most McDonalds over here don't open till . I know beef is expensive and milk isn't massively available in Spain due to less grazing land for cows so most is imported, so maybe it's a milk availability issue where the cost to import makes it uneconomical.

To be fair, they do do beer so whether i'd ever choose a Milkshake is another matter :p

Isn’t that UHT milk though?

That was just what I had to hand...went shopping today...plenty of milk, yoghurt, milkshake drinks etc..

Yeah, as i say it must be regional. I've never said it's impossible to get it, just that Spain in general struggles with milk supply, as per the articles i posted.

McDonalds must just decide it's not worth the logistic hassles in Spain, because Milkshakes are available in most other European countries

Well that milk was produced in Nadela, right in the north east and I bought it in Andalucia on the south west coast :D

I like the BK bacon cheeseburger

It’s the only burger I don’t have to open up and pick out daft gerkins or attempts at onion.

BK is imo better than McDees but they are few and far between compared to McDees.
