MCU to "Refocus” and Disney sinking faster than the Titanic (Starwars is dead Marvel is dead)

Just my opinion ofc but Patti had a lot of support from Snyder. The second one was telling because she was flying solo.
Exactly. The same deal with Thor Love and Thunder. Taika Waititi was basically given free reign and he certainly came up with something 'interesting'. Some Directors sometimes need a guiding hand, others always need one.

When I started seeing Rdj as Doom on FB, thought probably another fake clickbait. Turns out it's real :/

That's such a desperate move. And I wonder if he's gonna remain unmasked for majority of the duration of the movie.

Does seem a bit of a naff idea when there’s so many other actors out there. It wouldn’t be so bad if he’d been an insignificant character in previous films, but he’s frickin’ Iron Man and was the actor to essentially kick start the behemoth that is Marvel with the first Iron Man film. (Not counting Hulk)

I’ve seen people use the Josh Brolin Thanos/Cable argument, but he’s full CGI as Thanos and Cable isn’t exactly Dr Doom / Iron Man levels. And Robert Downey Jnr is RDJ, he’s like Tom Hanks.

It's an unnecessary hurdle to get over which could have easily been avoided.

Absolutely dismal stuff from the dire Dis-entry MCU.

Always been a big fan of RDJ, but this is basically them giving up on anything other than cameos, nostalgia and 'memberries. What an absolute shambles, it just shows they will do anything rather than make films the fans want to watch.

There's a couple of comics with Stark becoming Doom, but they're most definitely "What If" curiosities rather than an attempt for a mainstream event.

A bold statement that you surely can't possibly backup
Just looking at the films, these are the RT approval ratings. Mostly positive with only 2 duds, and 2 slightly above average. 73% average. I can't be bothered to do TV but that might actually be higher.
Black Widow79%
Shang Chi92%
Eternals47%
No Way Home93%
Doctor Strange 273%
Thor: L&T63%
Black Panther 284%
Ant Man 346%
Guardians 382%
The Marvels62%
Deadpool 379%

Haven't watched DP3 yet but apart from no way home, the rest were poor, some straight trash. These reviews seem sketchy.

Out of that list I enjoyed No Way Home and Black Widow (Was my favourite character till her death!), the others on that list are forgetable or outright garbage (The Marvels, Eternals, Black Panther 2 are some of the worst in the entire MCU). I haven't seen Deadpool 3 yet but I have hope!

Those scores were the critic review scores on RT - the audience scores in comparison are much, much higher despite some of the film (Eternals/Marvels etc) being utterly panned!

I've edited Shamikebab's list so these were the Audience scores, every single one is higher than the critics scores -

Black Widow91%
Shang Chi98%
Eternals77%
No Way Home98%
Doctor Strange 285%
Thor: L&T76%
Black Panther 294%
Ant Man 382%
Guardians 394%
The Marvels82%
Deadpool 397%

To the surprise of no one, RDJ getting minimum 80mil for Dr Doom:

Thats why they can't turn a profit. Paying a single actor $80 million means a budget blowout - the next Avengers movie is gonna cost $1 billion to make and probably cost Disney $500 million in losses

Audience/critic scores mean nothing, its bums on seats that ultimately count. Less people are going and the films budgets are getting higher so they have real trouble with any films making profit
Haha, so the audience score (you know, the bums on seats) doesn’t count. Talk about moving the goalposts. lol

Incredible stuff.
