Mechwarrior Online. Yes, really :)

£20 for 1 month??

I have games with in game currency. Is it possible to, say beat someone and collect their Armour etc and have more in game currency, then sell it to people?

Tempted to install Mech Warrior 2

*edit - unless i read it wrong and £20 includes 1 month premium? Seems like Pay to Win to me.

You don't even get a founder's mech at the bottom tier so for that reason, I'm out.

It's a FTP there is no monthly, that's just #months of XP, in game currency boosts. Not that I'd recommend buying the founders anyway. Open beta isn't too far off, I wouldn't bother just buying a founder for Beta.

I'm in beta which is now open beta). Still a bit rough around the edges - weapon grouping is rubbish at the mo, no/limited joystick support. But it's forgiveable as it's still in beta and these things should get sorted by release.

It's pretty fast paced, and I like the idea you can drop in for a 10 minute blast. It's almost like the MW3/MW4 in the good old days. It's a game with great potential.

I paid for the full founders pack - it's expensive but worth it to me as MW has been my favourite seriese of games since playing it on the Commodore Amiga.

I'm in the United Kingdom Mercenaries if you fancy searching out a UK based unit in the game.
 
It's actually still in closed beta. You are just guarenteed entry if you buy a founders pack.

It's pretty good fun, better now that I realised you can join as a group. Looking forward to when it's released and corps are added. When it goes into open beta there'll be lots more information out, as IIRC I'm not meant to say anything or even tell you I'm in the beta.

Which joysticks are you guys using? The last one i owned was a Microsoft sidewinder, which i stupidly threw out years ago :(
I could really use a recommendation just for this game.

Can someone explain to me why you start with 13k MC and a lot of CB as well? Is this just due to beta test or if I buy Mechs now they carry over to release? (Considering getting a founder pack so do I get MC and spend now or later?)
 
They give you the 13k MC everytime they do an update so that you can buy mechs straight away. It resets after every update (Generally every 2nd Tuesday).

If you have a founders pack you will also get the 13k plus the extra that your founders pack gives you and you can spend it on what ever you like as it will reset on the next patch.

This is all only while the game is in closed beta.

Sometimes you keep the money but you will generally loose the mechs on a reset.
 
You wont get any MC in open beta (Unless you have a founders package), its just there in the closed beta for you to get going quicker and test all the stuff.

You can buy a few mechs with the 13k MC.
 
sounds interesting - how obvious is it youre in a different mech or are you just buying loadouts with prettier cases? Is there much to do or is just DM?
 
I was hoping more of a Planetside type world for this but as it stands its just team deathmatch so to speak :(

If I have time I will give it a bash as my mate gave me an account .... but Planetside 2 beta is now open for Planetside veterans and CS:GO is out so not much playtime there :D
