Mercedes Benz and AMG Owners

ive just had last service (B) done 300 miles earlier so im good for another year. car has done so far 55000 miles in 4 years time.
i want to keep it fully serviced, question is is it worthy doing it wih main dealer?
just visited my local mercedes and been informed 3 years plan (3 services then) would be for me £38/month, so for plans from next year A B A average is £450/year
i was first going to go independent specialized garage but next year not only A service needs to be done but also autobox service and have been quoted £365 - not so much cheaper then and big plus for me is Mobilo from main dealer as every year i travel europe to visit parents (1300 miles one way).
from what ive been told today i assume it will be best option sign in for mercedes service plan, but im writing all this to ask for your opinion and suggestion, and what experience you have with mercedes service plans if any.
thank you

^ You won't like this post then :D.

Deposit placed for E220d SE estate. £380 per month pcp with carwow discounts, deposit contributions, and £2k 'diesel changeover bonus' for my Volvo S80, on top of the p/x value, which was a nice surprise!

Spec is:

- cavansite blue metallic, beige leather, black ash wood trim
- premium plus package (including sun roof, upgraded sound system, keyless stuff, and upgraded LED headlights)
- comand online and wide-screen dials (full 2 X 12.3 inch displays)
- heated windscreen
- 360 camera

Considered the driver aid package but at £1.6k it was just too much. Also skipped the air suspension as on 17s the ride was really nice.

Should be a nice family car for a few years, after which I hope I can afford a proper engine :p. Though I was pleasantly surprised by the new 4 pot in the 220d cars, and it will do 60mpg...if I'm allowed to mention that!

I ended up adding the driver assistance plus package and the HUD. I am weak.

Also changed the black ash trim to dark ash (brown basically).

So it's a blue Merc 4 pot diesel with beige leather and brown wood trim, on 17s. Proper old man car!

Expected end of December :O.

I love the Airmatic suspension... Mine has just failed again for the 2nd time in the 6 months I've had the car.

Rear driver-side airbag was leaking when I bought it and the dealership replaced it. Now, I think, the other side has started leaking. It spends 99% of it's life unlocked in my garage (it stays pumped up when the car is unlocked) so I don't know when it started but I left it outside this weekend while I detailed my wife's car. This is how it was when I went out to it this morning, the other side was fine.

I've left it locked in the garage today and it dropped an inch in 2hrs. I put the ignition on to check something and it pumped back up and it hasn't really dropped again now. No idea what's going on

Probably using the same crappy airbags as BMW.

Its either leaking, or the distribution block or sensors are not working correctly. I'd go with leaking having had experience (unfortunately!) of a few cars with airmatic/abc.

Is this not supposed to be going up and down when you drive and park??
I need to look closer on mine, but I think mine is lowering itself when parked
(only rear active suspension on mine, not full airmatic though)

I thought it might be the ditributor block too but it pumps back up and is completely fine when I turn the ignition on so it makes me think it's got a leak.

I think it lowers a little (like 1/4") when parked but nowhere near this much. the other side doesn't drop either so it's definitely got an issue.

I'll definitely will have a look at mine. It is nowhere as low as on above picture, but I would take a risk saying it is going down about inch. On both sides the same. And full B service done few weeks ago with no problems apparently, plus - when I have bought it just over 2 weeks ago, been informed by seller, first owner, this suspension works this way, even adjust according to weight put in boot or back seats..

Bought myself an RS3 a couple of months ago then did the silly thing that is test drive the one car I've always wanted to own ........

This is the end result, now an AMG owner :)

Does anyone know if there's a way of finding out what size tyres my car came with from the factory?

At the moment it's on 225/45 R17 Y but Blackcircles seems to think they should be different sizes front and rear? It's a 2007 CLK350.
