Mercedes Benz and AMG Owners

You can get a very well regarded Aston indy garage to install their bits on and get 450 -> 530ish. Near £7k for the mods though... I'm intending on getting it done on mine early next year :)

£7k on mods

I couldnt stomach that, mods are money you never see again :(

Correct, waving bye bye to that cash. It's not cheap but I've decided I want to keep the car for the foreseeable rather than buy a newer, more expensive car - I hope the added performance will keep me interested...Although that new Tesla 85D, so much want.

Apart from going to my local dealer, is there any way if I can find out if my slk 350 had the sports suspension of not?

Sitting low on one side at the front, there's less coils on the drivers side so looks as though it's broken at some point before I brought it, so it needs a change!

If there isn't I can just buy the part from my local dealers parts department, some things they're reasonable for, other prices are ridiculous so we shall see.

Cheers

You could head over to SLKWorld and post your VIN in the relevant section. They will produce a datacard for you pretty much instantly that will list every option on your car.

Great stuff, will do just that. Just the vin number as printed on the car or do I have to convert it to some other number somehow? Was over on slkworld the other week and saw someone on about it, may have just got the wrong end of the stick haha.

Leaving the good ship Jaguar and climbing aboard the Mercedes....
Just put deposit down on a shiny factory build CLS 350 AMG Line (9G), with Premium Plus and few other bits and bobs - looking like late January delivery. My XF S has been a trusty companion for 18 months or so and, after considering a replacement XF, an XJ or an A6/A7, the CLS won :p

Is it nice in here?!

Seen a few of the new CLS's around now but never been in one in personally so I wonder how they compare to the previous gen. There's a new model CLS63 AMG that I see around every so often and it looks tasty!

So test drove another AMG yesterday.....

Went along to the PistonHeads Sunday Service yesterday. This service took place an Mercedes Benz World. First time I had ever been!

In short. It was a great day.

During the event MB were offering discounted taster drives on their track. So I had to put my name down. A few mins later I was sitting in the E63 AMG S!

Needless to say the thing was bloody rapid. What impressed me even more was 1. How accurate the steering was (even though it felt rather light and lifeless) and 2. How agile it was around their fairly twisty track.

Very impressed.

What I find funny are people that put amg badges on normal mercedes cars.

People that don't know about cars couldn't care less and wouldn't even know what amg was.

And people that know about cars just think "What a ****"

Not sure the thought process behind it, even de badged anyone into cars could spot one by the size of the brake calipers, the discs, the exhausts....and oh my the sound.

Mercedes AMG's are some of the best sounding cars, the C63 sounds so aggressive.

Hi Guys thought id say hello.

6 years of new Subarus from the WRX-S to STI Saloon, i then changed to Merc and had a 61plate E350, i missed the speed of the Subarus and also 4WD the E350 was nice but as the tyres wore wet conditions were awful.

I now have this which i got in July, its running a RENNtech engine map which peaks at 420 BHP my 0-60 time thus far is 3.6 seconds i wont push it anymore as id be mad to but the remap makes the car purr now as opposed to stock.
