Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

Lmao :D

Denuvo can't even last a week anymore.

Yea, cracked on day 2. I don't know why developers still even bother with DRM. Witcher 3 (which has no DRM at all) proves it makes no actual difference to sales numbers.

If anything is going to hurt sales it's the £50 price tag, as well as the fact is has Denuvo in the first place...

Played for a good couple of hours tonight and was pretty immersed!

Pros:
Fantastic graphics
Great atmosphere
Great performance @ 1440 on a 1070ti
Satisfying gun fights

Cons:
Pretty poor voice acting
Voice and mutant sounds are poor

Recommend:
Whack FOV to 70 in cfg
Turn off blur

Just finished the Redux of the first two and now about to get this. Cannot wait! Watched Cohh play a bunch and they have done such a good job with this game. Reminds me of the good old days where games took 20/30 hours to beat rather than 6 hours which is so common these days.

Definitely. If it was £30 people would snap it up, but £50 is taking a **** a bit.

I think this is why we are seeing so much of the in game stores and loot boxes now. I'm not sure how £30 could be sustainable for them or any triple A game. How many copies would they need to sell at £30 to make any money back. We don't want loot boxes and micro transactions and only want to pay £30 for the big releases. Seems completely unrealistic.

I really loved the game for about 2/3's, maybe 3/4's. The final acts though and some of the design decisions felt like they were just trying to extend the length of the game by the end. Annoying vehicle section where you take unavoidable damage, annoying creature type that does nothing for the game other than to slow you down, lots of instances where the game takes control away from you for some cinematic animation. It was also a bit jarring to go from semi open world - linear section - semi open world etc to just cinematic linear. Maybe Ranger mode heightened these but also had guys dodging sniper shots and getting one shotted by a shotgun from miles away.

Up to then though enjoyed the characters, liked the spouse angle, immersive exploration and OK gunplay. What I really wanted by the end though was a survival game just set in the final city. That would be immersive.

If anyone has a problem with Micro Stuttering, its recommended to turn v-sync off in game, and use RTSS to limit fps, and also try turning on Shader Cache, in your drivers, just tried that myself, and does seem better.
