Seems I stuck on the 97% again. Been loading for 25 mins nowI tried again this morning and got in no problem.
It did however take three attempts to load once I'd selected the aircraft and departure field in the Free Flight section.

It is beyond pathetic. a) MS surely has access to the numbers that preloaded the game and b) MS own a freakin cloud platform! HTF are they unable to quickly scale up whatever infrastructure services are required to support the game!Yup if anything I think that made me feel worse about the situation.
It's a great launch day.
Managed to get in eventually and did a quick flight with the F18 across Edinburgh; certainly seems to run really well with my 5800x3D and 6900XT at 2K - however a lot of graphical issues (Square blocks instead of trees) and no scenery at all even though Edinburgh was done fairly recently with new bits like the Castle.
I had assumed that MSFS 2024 would just have all the world update content etc from MSFS 2020 but lots of comments on forums suggesting this isn't the case which is pretty shocking tbh.
It's going to take months if not years to get all the third-party content up and running again as well. I'm not expecting much fun/use out of 2024 anytime in the near future. Maybe in a year or two it will be in a state I consider good enough to pump hours into.
The scenery is there, the problem is that the streaming servers are overloaded, so users aren't getting all the data necessary to render a high fidelity image. Hence all the memes last night from those that did manage to "log in" about the MSFS Lego 2024 edition.I had assumed that MSFS 2024 would just have all the world update content etc from MSFS 2020 but lots of comments on forums suggesting this isn't the case which is pretty shocking tbh.

You should submit this as evidence to the UFO hearing in Congress. This will debunk the notion that aliens are "little green men".Managed to get in and this was the result; I didn't realise Morph riding an invisible magic carpet was a plane option
This is why online only games are a cancer
Microsoft can stick it
