Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Argghh!, the Nemesis system is brutal, I've had my 1st of my branded war chief die while I went off to do other missions, all that work to get him there, oh well **** happens.

I fixed the weird frame rate issue where it was jumping between 30 and 60fps by changing the game to borderless window mode rather than regular full screen. Runs nice now between 50 - 60fps on my 7950 on high.
 
Still working my way through the 1st area, but found all the collectibles and done all the side missions, just 2 warchiefs to go.

Only thing that keeps popping up is the prisoner quests, do these things keep respawning? And other doing them for XP, is there any point?
 
man this game is freaking good fun :)
and when your enemys level up from getting a beating brings even more enjoyment
also like the graphics a lot HD content pack brings a lot to the game just looks fantastic @ 3440x1440 :) all maxed.

the orcs and captins and enemies are all rich full of detail.....

I was wondering the same thing but last night I noticed that there is a counter for these missions on the stats screen, so they must be limited aswell.

I had stopped doing them, will have to go back and do them now :)
 
Also if anyone wants to remove those startup logos+movies:

just go to ShadowOfMordor\game\interface\videos\ and delete:

entire legal folder
Also delete these 3 files
intro.vib
nvidia_splash.vib
WBPlay.vib
 
Exellent. Liking this so far, but its struggling on my 6870, low settings i'm afraid :( but it plays well.

Funniest part so far was the Caragor challenge and running into 3 captains, then legging it into a cave with a huge Troll and watching the Orcs getting hammered as I snuck back out.
 
I had that last night, had just switched to keyboard/mouse to try it out (much easier than 360 pad) and was doing the 12 headshot bow challenge, was so flipping easy with the mouse.. until a captain turns up right next to the tent.

I'm now fighting a captain who's level 11, whilst dodging arrows from 6 different archers, 4 to my right, 2 to my left. Managed to finish the captain and challenge after about 10 minutes but was fantastic fun - I usually hate this sort of thing but I'm loving it!
 
Have had no issues running at ultra but only on 1080p.

Enjoying it so far, I don't think it's quite as good as some claim but its fun enough. Getting the combo builder up nice and high is a decent challenge, most I've managed is ~80, can't get it to 100 like the bonus requires, I always block too much or something.
