Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

I dunno, folk have been asking for ages for a game that uses the extra power of big gaming PCs. This appears to be using those resources - just not sure what we're getting from it? Is it rendering more frames ahead, or just holding more textures in memory or what?

yes it does Halfmad, I only use 3GB, I'm just concerned with the really high number. Like I said above, if that figure reads above 6GB, doesn't that mean I've run out of VRAM? and the effect of that would be my game crashing, becoming unresponsive etc

You will get a bit of slowdown. I would not worry too much the whole Vram thing is stupid tbh.

What frames have you locked at?

I have most on high (few on medium) on my 670 (@1080p) pretty much no issues unless its raining and a big fight, or in wraith mode which seems the most problematic for me.

I have settled on the high preset with forced SMAA in radeon pro for now until a crossfire profile is released. Locked to a steady 60fps with very little drops compared to the higher settings. Still looks good imo.

I've got a 2500k at 4.5 and a 7950 3gb and can't seem to get 60 constant on any settings - latest drivers, any ideas? usually around 40 mark

Definitely something not right there. I have pretty much the exact same setup and even at ultra it's pretty much a steady 60fps with drops into the late 40's early 50's in big battles or rain. I'm on 14.7 RC3 drivers iirc and gpu oc'd to 1070/1500. Have settled at high preset for no drops though.

very weird then - I might see if I've changed something tessellation wise in control panel got a feeling I may have for BF4

Hmm, currently trying to decide if I should get this on the PS4 of the PC...

The PS4 is linked upto my 140" projector/better gamepad. PC on the other hand will have much better graphics.... choices choices...

Really like the look of this, as it's quite unlike anything I've played before, especially the epic fights and the finishing moves ... don't have a gamepad currently, but I do have a Razer Naga and Nostromo, so do you reckon this would be any good using those? Is it even feasible/possible to map button combos to buttons on the Naga or Nostromo?

Link the PC up to the projector and use a gamepad? PS4 is bluetooth isn't it so should work fine.

Hi everyone! Thinking of buying the game but worried about how it will run..
System is AMD Phenom X4 965BE, 6Gb Ram and a 570GTX.
Any comments?
Many thanks

My PS4 version arrived today and it's disappointing tbh. It looks more like a PS3 game. The PC version is far better looking if you have the hardware to run it at high settings.
