i thought I would go up against the last war chief (I'm only on first map so might not be last one in game) and all of his guards. It did not end well :D Dispatched all but one of his men... the last guy seems invincible
 
I currently have one captain that seems impossible. He auto fires 3 shots from his crossbow that are flaming. This takes me to the point I drop to one knee but he also has humilation so just walks off. He's immune to stealth and ranged.

I should add that I have almost all skills now, missing nothing that would help. I'm at 1 level from max on health.

Guys like that you have to get up close, stun and wraith fury attack. Only problem is when their buddies turn up to the party and distract you :D
 
Cant help myself, keep going back to this.. It's the first game I have ever wanted to complete the achievements for..

Got 5 or 6 to go and I am struggling to get 5 captains to kill the warchief one, I just cant seem to get another captain to join my warchief no matter what I do, anyone got any tips?

I had a guy like this. He was vulnerable to explosions and hated flies. Anything else was nothing to him. Eventually got a mission to attack him at a feast - poisoned his grog, then blew it up and he run under some flies - once you get a captain with his hated thing, he loses all of his strengths, or at least some of them...

Bit lazy of Nvidia not to provide an SLI profile for this game isnt it?

I'm waiting for new drivers before I play this.

I read the patch notes of 6 days ago, that SLI profiles are incoming.
 
Can someone playing this with a 970 do me a favour and see if the game will use more than 3500mb ish of Vram. For me for somereason @ 1440p it will sit at 3500mb whereas on the 980 it sat at 4gb ??

get close, hit him with wraith punch to stun him and hammer the hell out of him. Or jump him and stun him.
 
I got bored after dominating every warchief and nearly every captain in the game so I started the last mission. God that ending was terrible.

Stun, hit hit hit hit hit hit, move, spacebar (or equivalent) to leap over another orc, basically just keep moving. If you have brand simply command a branded captain to duel him, then turn up at the duel and brand Ukshak too.
 
I have started getting some really bad performance issues with this since going to the second area. Even in high settings it's gone all stuttery...

Think I might try a re-install.
 
Huh, I noticed this too. Turns out the moment you dip below 60, the vsync knocks your fps down to 30. Try and remove vsync and force it via graphics control panel.

Helped me out.

No worries.

I found consistant FPS restrictions with everything on ultra (bar textures which is set to high) on my GTX 780 OC.

I would find the drops at night mostly when there were fires in front of me. So bonfire or torches. Try it.
 
Just been playing around with the new photo mode added in today's patch, all sorts of different filter effects, frames and film grains, great fun :).
