Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

finished the main story. really enjoyable game but once you have levelled up and got some decent runes the challenge disappears. still find the odd fight you need to run off from but ended up smashing through the second map. the end battles are weak as well, could have been much better.

anyone bothered with the dlc? worth getting?

I think it's fantastic tbh. I'm mainly playing on PS4 but have the season pass on PC so will play new content on that.

I can spend hours chasing down War Chiefs....

Graphically the game is gorgeous but that's where it ends for me personally, The photo mode is pretty cool though, Maxed settings 4K etc...

Only about 2 hours in but seems good so far... My only gripe is the camera being too close to the character. I don't understand why games like this don't give you the option of say three camera settings - far, mid and near to the character.

I got bored after dominating every warchief and nearly every captain in the game so I started the last mission. God that ending was terrible.

Quicktime events yay!

same.

couldn't be bothered collecting all the little bits, so just did the missions, completed it at 15 hours 2 mins.

It was fun to play up to a point but it is too much of rinse and repeat until your done.

Was expecting more from the boss too.
A....A...mash B...dead...

Just finished the game and loved it till the ending.

Quick time events must die and the ending alone was just a massive lore rape and one of the lamest endings I've played.

Sorry to ask so late in the game but is this worth buying?

It's extremely repetitive and samey, It's enjoyable for a bit but there's no real story other than a few cut scenes and way too many quick times events.

Wait for it to get cheaper, Not worth the huge price it's at now.

The game with season pass can be bought for £20 and it's worth that price all day long.

Which quick time events ive only seen it once at the very end :\

Superb title imo, and a lot of work did go into it. Everyone has their own stories of their Nemesis encounters, which is exactly what WB and Monolith wanted to achieve - memorable moments. The nemesis system alone is brilliant and I'd like to see other games somehow employ such a system.

Great visuals (especially cutscenes) and nice and violent combat for once help it no end. It's a shame the ending was obviously rushed and the environments weren't more varied. Either way the sequels will build upon this now and I hope we see more of Talion.

I think it comes down to personal choice really as the game to me seems like a more hollow version of assassins creed/arkham mash up.

There needs to be more story and interactivity with characters, Going to mission points to start something followed by a 30 second cut scene *Which look oddly grainy and low quality* seems very cheap to me, Just feels too instanced.
