Middle Earth: Shadow of War

You do have the HD texture pack Nexus? I will be downloading this tonight.

Not got the game, refuse to support WB practices in this game.

Just I've been watching some videos and then seeing the images above and graphically it looks worse than the first one to me, also seen people say the animation seems worse than the first (probably due to more enemies being on the scene)

Runs smoothly for me and looks great. Definitely better than the first.
One downside though...had a nemesis, cut his leg off, gets a peg leg, cool. He ambushes me. Cut both his arms off. They seemingly regrow. What gives?!

I had noticed watching streamers that the game graphics looks worse but I’ve come to the conclusion that their displays or stream programs are not setup correctly. As my game looks anything but washed out. It is very rich and as dark and rich as Shadow of Mordor even though I have it for the PS4.

Interesting death animations.

One thing though, this game still stuffers the magnetic jumping from wall to wall not wanting where your character is supposed to go.

Unreal these orcs coming back with new battered faces as I threw them off 30ft building edges in the space of 5 minutes. In the first game it took a little while to show their comeback.

Is it just me or does the game look worse than the first one, at the very least, it certainly doesn't look to have been improved graphically.....

I don't have the machine to run it maxed out but when I tested max setting and 3440*1440 it really did look good, sadly it ran at about 10-15fps.

A lot of the videos and early footage of people playing it made me think graphically it was a step back but on a good PC it can look stunning.

Just on 10 hours played now and finding it hard to put down or play anything else. So far, still at Minas Ithil with tons to do and still working stuff out.

It's very much like the first game however I haven't got to use my army or go taking keeps/forts yet but reckon that will be cool.

Got my key from instant gaming today as they sold out yesterday and they credited my account with a fiver for the trouble. Couldnt play it until today anyway so it cost just over £20 all in all. Pretty pleased with that.

Pleased with performance so far with my 1080ti and 3440x1440 monitor. Not the prettiest game I have ever played but its not the ugliest either.

Went on around 11 last night for an hour before bed. Then it was 3am. Oops.

Heh... I played 5 hours straight last night first getting into it. Too addictive all the quests. I’m loving this game as much as Shadow of Mordor. Trying to get the hang of the mechanics again as it has been a long time since I’ve played Shadow of Mordor.

Loving all these huge swarms of orc fights on the ground, on platforms or up on roofs, as well as those throwing spears and firing crossbows at you in between coming across endless captains. Funny how quickly they adapt to your moves. My god though the spawns in the distance, 4 - 5 keep spawning at a time when you kill 3. Feels like Neo vs Agent Smith in The Matrix Reloaded. It’s inevitable.

Nemesis is quite hard, as even in the opening section of the game, I am level 3 or something and keep stumbling upon level 17 and 18 captains who take me apart pretty quickly.

I did kill a level 11 captain who was some sort of Bard though.

Probably died about 6 times already in 2 hours of gaming.

Heh, yeah but this is good playing on Nemesis as once you’ve leveled up some captains from dying many times you can take them down once you’ve levelled up over time to get some good awards. I’ve allowed myself to die 6 - 9 times so they can take on other orcs to level up.

I’m hoping at some point I can do the same as Shadow of Mordor, once levelled up quite a bit take on three 18 - 20 level captains in one go with their hordes. That was fun 45 minute fights in Shadow of Mordor. As one kept blowing his horn.

Haha one of my captains only says 'sweet' quite funny when he kills another captain and keeps repeating sweet sweet sweet :D

Hmm anyone else having issues with Last Chance? I don't get the cursor pop up like you used too (in SoM), so don't seem to be able to kill any captains that have it..

It was the same in Shadow of Mordor. It depends on the Orc and or ability.
