Middle Earth: Shadow of War

one things for sure, there is a lot of skill tree, and combined with the gear sets it can get a little overwhelming.
I'm at the point now where I'm unlocking second choices on each skill now and some of them i just cant see me ever using.

Currently at level 8 and don't know what the hell is going on lol ! I've got all my combat skills the main ones at the top and loads random yellow level 7 swords and armor but why do more and more bosses keep appearing? I was under the impression that once you kill one they are removed from the game and you clear them one by one and only when one gets away or kills you will they stay on the board ? One of them is really P me off! thou There is one that is about to Die and them boom it says I have to press Space! I press it and then he gets away ? I don't get it lol

space? Erggh. Couldn't play this on a keyboard.

If you kill all the 'captains' and don't get killed before doing so, then they will be out of the game until you die or 'advance time'

But there's always going to be Orcs everywhere.

Some Captains have a perk that they can escape death (usually only once), some have one where you don't get a last chance etc etc.

Sometimes Captains come back from the dead, all stitched up and want revenge.

There's always usually some Captains, you can't do much about that.

pretty much the same as the first one and its a non stop keyboard and mouse bashing game! you don't need to have any skills to play it , pretty much stealth attack all bosses to wipe 50% of there life right away and spam the space bar , Bow and arrow and slash! Boss dead on to next one.... get a few good weapons and upgrade and repeat for over 30 + Hours.

I was doing someones vendetta couple of nights ago and I could have sworn 5 or 6 captains appeared in the area. One sniffer kept finding me as I was running and jumping across the rooftops to get away from him. I was even on one roof that was empty that I had just jumped from that a captain had just spawned on.

Also didn’t know you could gain intel on another players fortress during a vendetta mission. There was a two faced captain.

I had a similar one lastnight,
No wonder my mate died clear some space for gods sake! must have been 7-8 captains in that fight. took me around 40 mins trying to split them up and running off to drain some health back.

Just got home and had a chance to play for an hour or so. It's obviously very similar to the first one, and for me that's a good thing. There are some changes that I consider to be improvements like being able to boost while climbing. I've enjoyed what I've seen so far, and the dialogue is still quality. Performance on a 1080ti is perfect and Ultra Wide support is great (cut scenes have bars).

The only negative I would add is that for the 100GB it's taking up on my SSD, it looks very average. It uses 10GB of VRAM and I'm not sure why, as the textures aren't that great.

Anyway, looking forward to a wee session tonight. It's one of those games where you can rattle a few beers and lose a few hours. :)

Eurgh I'm level 27, Cirith Ungol has a level 28 legendary overlord, arrow proof, fire proof, enraged by frost. Could kill him easily on his own, but with his grunts around including ologs it's the most frustrating battle I've had so far. Only weakness is stealth, and there's no option to use stealth in an overlord fight.

Had him down low enough to finish him once, but of course he has last chance and in a panic i pressed the wrong button to finish him. Even that battle took me a good 20 minutes or so with the running about dodging spears and hitting him at just the right times. He's one of those classes that grabs and headbutts you if you try and hit him face on.

After being generally pretty easy to this point, the game has thrown me a curve ball.

I had someone similar but he was l35 and was only saved due to forthog. Got him down but he had that stupid second wind ability and it screwed me.

Hehe! Tense moments those are.

Quite glad i bought the gold edition now that I've seen that. Keeping the game playable on and off for a good 7-8 months is quite nice and doesn't make me feel like the extra expense was unwarranted. Granted i did buy it from HRK for £50 on preorder and not the retail £80, was still undecided about it for quite some time before buying though.

Mmm! Invades Mordor!
