Middle Earth: Shadow of War

You mean just like the consoles? Any of your friends that has been killed by Orcs/Captains/Warchiefs it tells you who they were killed by. I loved those missions and there were a lot of vendetta missions.

Though I remember names I had never recognised pop up for those vendetta missions. As they were not on my friends list.

That was in the first game too was it?
News to me lol.
Then again, didn't last long in the game due to its crappy console controls

Yeah, they are fun. Though at that time first playing this game back in Christmas 2015, early 2016 I wished I knew how to record. Sadly so many crazy battles lost.

Some were easy, some were hard, some were brutal and some were a nightmare since some of them had no weaknesses at level 20. I think I remember having a 35 - 45 minute battle that caused 3 other level 20 captains to join in on the fight with Pash the Blademaster with his poisonous blade. In between each captain had a posse with them. 10 each?

The cook came back 3 times with new burnt and roped faces. Hated him as he was a fast runner.

Pretty sure that is how it works. Anytime you die in the game it creates vendetta missions for other players.

I'll have to play through the original again before its out, havent touched the DLC any of it good?

Yes. It is a bit darker to the story. Though it was harder than playing as Talion as you have health you cannot level up.

Are they bloody serious? Profiteering off another mans death?
How low can one publisher go before gamers vote with their wallets?

No doubt they'll still pre-order this for fun to get their shiny pointless poo and still drop money in game in those loot boxes nobody needs.
GG WB....please cease to exist soon.

its not even another Man, their colleague and Developer of the game.....

Could someone explain for those of us on a WiFi connection so slow, it makes Sloth from The Goonies look quick?

What's the outrage?

WB games announced that most of the sales from a particular DLC, themed and named after the creative director who worked on the game would go to his family. Except, in very small print, and omitted from just about every news article on the 'kind and generous gesture' from WB games didn't say that it only applies to certain states in the US, four or five are omitted, and no where else. So if you or I were to buy the DLC thinking we'd be benefitting his family, we wouldn't be. WB games would get all the money. The 'small print' is very, very small. And not mentioned at all in the press release. Or if it is, again very, very small print.

For example, this Kotaku article makes no mention of this anywhere. http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2017/09/01/shadow-of-war-producer-memorialised-in-dlc

AFA
@MissChief thanks for that.

Wow, that's pretty low. And also very difficult to comprehend in terms of why they would do that. Do the states in question have any kind of relevance?
AFAIK it has some sort of legal thing that they can't do it. I can't see any other reason for it TBH.

I can't imagine there'd be laws stopping some firm from donating a percentage (or all) of the profits to some charity or even to anyone they want to, but who knows.

As for "some will still buy it", no surprise. Saw the reply of "Im still buying because i dont care about dlc and have 0 convictions" on another forum.

because your buying a product, their are some laws their. however if they said would match the purchases for the DLC to give to charity that could be done.

WB are setting a bad trend with loot boxes in singleplayer...

Yep it's disgusting behaviour and obviously a marketing tactic to enhance sales rather than support the family in anyway.

I feel sorry for Monolith having to endure the abhorrence of WB but I genuinely hope this game tanks, WB deserve nothing less and the fact they are making EA and Ubisoft look 'not as bad' speak volumes.

It wont be getting a penny of my money, even in a bargain basement Steam sales to which it will be consigned to in a years time.
