Midweek Football *SPOILERS* 3/4 March

What position does he play then? He played upfront for us and he was ****. Oh and didn't Keane miss a sitter in the last minute? :p

He is better sitting behind the striker, doing his own thing like he did with Berbatov. This tactic works well with us but at Liverpool he was always in the way of Gerrard.

In the end he sets up goals, creates goals and scores goals. He was also given a free role at Spurs which suits him and is why he did what he did at Spurs. I am glad we got him back as he suits our style of play and overall he is a very good player and it just seems he wasn't meant to be at Liverpool.

That's what i meant about position/role, wasn't having a knock at Liverpool but he wasn't played to his strengths and it certainly showed.

Lennon is in amazing form at the moment. A good performance in the Carling Cup final followed by a MOTM performance against Boro last night.

I think Boro will go down sadly. They came to White Hart Lane to play football last night and knocked it about quite nicely at times. They need to be more cynical and physical if they want to stay up.

again ! adding to my opinion that John Motson is a complete tool

can't complain about that statement at all, Keane is back at Spurs because he isn't good enough to play for a big club.

had his chance in Italy when younger and failed and same at Liverpool.

so great watching Villa hit the wall with 10 games to play, we might be struggling but with Fabregas/Eduardo/Rosicky/Walcott all potentially playing the tail end of the season we should stumble over the line into 4th.

Happy for United to just get a win as playing on a freezing night in the northeast 3 days after a cup final is never easy.

Taylor should have gone for his swinging arm though. The fact he didn't fully connect properly is irrelevant, the intent was there but because it was against Ronaldo some people think it's ok (and a lot of refs seem to be taking this attitude at the moment as well).

Newcastle played well but the annoying thing is that if they did that against other teams in the league they wouldn't be in the position they're in.

Might see a couple of changes in the FA Cup, hopefully Foster'll get another chance as Edwin really wasn't at the races.

I love how everyone criticizes ronaldo, yet they would take him into their team in less than an instant.

Complain about it then? I highly doubt it, sure he dives quite a lot but then so do lots of other people, he is simply victimized, in my opinion.

that guy is an absolute disgrace to football, good player or not he IS the biggest cheater in the EPL.....end of.

What makes you say this ?
Because he dives ?

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Everyone cheats. Ronaldo dives no more then some other players, The media seem to be out to get foreign players who dive "they're spoiling our game".

We ( Sheffield Wednesday ) played Barnsley the other week, Barnsley dived :(
Steven Gerrard frequently dives, Taylor at Newcastle dived for a penalty against Sunderland.

Don't single Ronaldo out, he's no worse or better then the rest. It's just another "fashion" that football is going through, as with holding people at corners.

Don't be as stupid as to think that Ronaldo is the only diver in the English game, it happens at every club, at every level and by every player, regardless of where they come from.

Question? Was Taylor booked for clouting Roaldo or the lunge at Carrick? Because if it was for the swing at Ronaldo then the ref should be in trouble for not following the law correctly and if it was the foul then surely Taylor should receive some retrospective punishment. If I recall correctly, Scholes got a red for punching thin air last year but then again, it's one rule for us another for everybody else.

Huh? How about the times Ronaldo has lashed out at players this season and got away with absolutely no punishment :/? He should have been banned twice in my opinion for kicking out against a Stoke player and I'm sure there was another, was it Dawson? Alas, that'll never happen and that's why he'll continue to do it again

Why is eveybody hating on Arsenal in Europe at the mo. :( it's very strange but they're actually good in Europe and Cesc is back very soon, I'd fancy Arsenal's chances vs anybody if they scrape past Roma while the team is still weak.

If he had got a few good crosses in on Sunday he would have been MOTM then too.
