Midweek Football *SPOILERS* 3/4 March

Went to the game, Great finish by Cole but he is a dirty **** and always looking for a foul, Catermole is a nutter runs for everything and has the dog off the lead mentality, never a red, Parked went down and it looked like he had been shot by sniper, rolling around and ref brought on the strecher, next minute Parker is back on the pitch running fine.

We dont know what to do up front now without Heskey, Mido is **** and he can go straight back to Boro ASAP, Zaki tries but he is not Premiership quality.

utter crap, all wrong completely. Firstly Cole isn't a dirty anything, the first "foul" the Wigan player(ok i only caught a glitchy stream) put his foot down infront of the sliding Cole who was completely on the floor and at that point could do nothing, nothign in it, not a yellow. second yellow his foot was no doubt high, but the replay clearly shows he doesn't know the other player is there, is looking at the ball all the time, doesn't make contact and it was never a yellow. EDIT:- ok it was probably a yellow but a harsh one with no intent and dangerous but not knowingly. 99.9% of the worlds ref's would never have given a yellow for it after giving the first one, 99.9% of the worlds ref's would not have given a yellow for the first one.

As for parkers, he was down for 2-3 minutes, it was a reckless and incredibly dangerous tackle, it was without question a red, even Catermole didn't look surprised by the red and even looked a little distressed once he realised what he did, he clearly thought it was a red. Melchiot thought it was a red, everyone in the world except you thought it was a red. Also a tackle that could easily of broken Parkers leg and ALL your fans booed him for being down in agony. Class act.

I love the fact that Zaki who outscored Heskey with ease and is miles better than Heskey is not premiership quality. Catermole, every week he does a disgraceful tackle, he is a thug and nothing more.

Ok you got one thing right, Cole's finish was brilliant and I missed it(stream conked out for a bit) but when I saw the replay, the move was one touch passing perfection, a truly fantastic goal from all involved. Still waiting to see what Brown did to get his yellow, I get the feeling from Parkers reaction and all the Wigan players stopping Parker doing something stupid rather than protecting Brown that they thought Brown did something pretty nasty, which is entirely unsurprising.

John Motson, just said "Is there a better all round footballer in this league than Robbie Keane on his day," christ I know he is getting old but that is a rather odd statement.

No need to defend him. He clearly couldn't handle being at a big club and is back where he'll do well. Far better players have failed to make the step up. It shouldn't be that much of a suprise really considering how he done at bigger clubs like Inter and Leeds. Some players are just suited to smaller clubs where the team plays around them.
Do you support Man Utd? Kinda sound like one......

:p

Parker and Neill should have been sent off, Zaki has scored about 5 penalties and is not scoring freely enough, he has been shown up for what he is, start of the season he was good.

Nothing wrong with Parker, he knew what he was doing and that was getting Catermole sent off.

I dont think he went for the dive but Lucas Neill should have walked for his challenge for sure

Annoying when you consider Anderson, after 2 months out was probably the best player on the park in the Carling Cup final. The boy has more talent in his little finger than Darren '5 touches' Fletcher does in his whole body. I really don't understand why Anderson isn't starting, he has more physical presence, ability to pass first time, ability to pick the pass, pace, power and he can tackle too. Fletcher prances around like bambi with his 5 touches til he gets pressured then panics and passes it to the opposition - he really can't shift the ball quickly.

I remember reading the same thing about anderson 12 months ago and it was wrong then and it is wrong now. He has got energy and got a good attitude but that about it for now. The reason he hasn't started a lot of games in the last year is because he is a terrible passer, he wastes ball after ball or just runs into other players. For me he is a bit like Mascherano, only he doesn't read it as well, who is at his best when winning the ball back and giving a 5 yard pass to Alonso/Gerrard etc.

Man U vs Liverpool next? Anything but 3 points for liverpool would mean it's really over?
