Military coup in Turkey?

Erodogan not hanging about.

Turkey’s top judicial body HSYK lays off 2,745 judges after extraordinary meeting.

11 Supreme Court members arrested along with 4 members of Judges Committee.

Arrest warrants issued for 140 Constitutional Court members and 48 members of the Council of State.

It's being revealed that the soldiers who were following orders were told it was a military excercise.

Telegraph said:
According to Hurriyet newspaper's online edition, some of the privates who were detained told interrogators they were not aware that they were part of a coup attempt. They had been told by commanders they were taking part in military maneuvers. Some said they understood that it was a coup attempt when they saw civilians climb on tanks.

Absolute trot. Cameron claimed brexit could start world war 3?

Haha. He never said such a thing.

Just goes to show the effect of propaganda.

Did you even bother trying to find out whether he said that? I suggest you find out what he said rather than other people's headline seeking paraphrasing.

Examples could be multiplied. The Leave campaign was Project Fear all over: a toxic blend of xenophobia, racism, bigotry, nationalism, and good old fashioned ignorance.

Gove falsely claimed that Turkey would join the EU (feeding into the 'Millions of Muslims are coming for your daughters' rhetoric) and Farage claimed 'People do see a fifth column living within our country, who hate us and want to kill us.'

Evidence please.

And this is the sort of rubbish people had in their heads when deciding which way to vote....its pathetic

The Leave campaign had it easy: they only had to convince ignorant people. It wasn't difficult.

I don't feel you can present an overly unbiased argument on these topics, you're so far to the left you make Green Peace look like The Tea Party movement

A lot of us from both camps are getting fed up of the bitterness, and frankly poor losing, of some in the remain camp.

You guys lost. Admit defeat, and move on.

You're in Oz apparently so why you're so upset I don't know.

No bitterness here. Hell, I'm one of the people who's opposed to a second referendum. I've said right from the start that the result of this referendum must be honoured, and the Tories should go full steam ahead with Brexit.

I'm not upset. Sure, I'm a bit disappointed that the value of my British passport will be massively downgraded as soon as the Brexit is official, but I can always apply for a fresh EU passport through my German ancestry.

Feel free to address any of the points I was discussing earlier.
