Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

I'd love to search through 1462 posts to find it.
Imagine if there was a big massive 'Search this thread' button at the top...

Time set ta!

Right-click this tag.txt file (32 bytes) and download it.

The tag.txt file has three parts: header, date and time. The exact required format is discussed here. The word "date" must be lower case.

[date]
2009/12/29
16:58:00

or

[date] 2009/12/29 16:58:00

Modify the tag.txt file with your date time. Use a text editor (like Windows notepad or equivalent) that will not corrupt the file. If you corrupt the file, the date time will not be set. To be accurate, the time in the files should be the future time when you will turn the camera on.
1. Connect the USB cable.
2. Copy the tag.txt file to the root of the camera drive.
3. Disconnect the USB cable.
4. Turn the camera off.
5. Turn the camera on. The camera reads tag.txt, sets the date time, and deletes the file.
6. Take a photo.
7. Connect the USB cable. Verify the date time on the JPG file.

Perhaps I should print screen and PDF it for the lazy ones?

I seem to be having a problem deleting the .avi files. Windows apparently won't let me do it as everytime I go back into the folder, the .avi files are back staring me in the face.

Does anyone know an easy way to dismount the handle so I can delete the files or any other simple method?

So far I'm resorting to a full drive format, which is a bit of a pain in the backside.

I normally just quick format the SD card in a card reader.

Unlocker usually does a good job of deleting files that windows doesn't seem to want to:

Hey guys looking to get one of these, can anyone tell me the best number to get? Im quite confused of all the different models mentioned in the thread - does anyone have a link to the best one?

Sorry to look lazy, just some say # is better than others etc and i'd liek to know which is the best out of all and who sells it, so if anyone could post a link that would be great.

thanks

You want a #3 type mate. I got two #3 cameras from this guy :-

Took about 14 days to arrive from him.

1 hour up for 1 hour charge is all you are going to get, and its usually more 50 mins up. The GBs stored depends on the light situation. It seems the #3 camera when in the dark slows it FPS down. In normal light I get around 2GB for 30 mins, but it does vary a bit as said.

I would agree with that, your looking at about 50 mins or so of footage on a full charge. I used mine a few times on my cycle commute to work which is approx 18 miles and usually takes me just over the hour by a minute or two and every single time the footage cut off about 8-10 mins early. They are though, fantastic little gadgets for the money.

Couple of vids I've taken over the past week or so of a bunch of us mountain biking. I've got the camera on a velcro strap on my bike helmet :-

Thread bumpage!!.

Friend of mine want's to buy a couple of these as Christmas pressies. If anyone has ordered one recently and it is a type #3 can they link me up with the eBay seller who has them?. I don't want to give her a link to one and it turns out it's a type #1 or #2 when it turns up.
