Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

I have an idea for an application that I want to write that utilizes the mini keyring cam so have the following question:

* I need to hook the camera upto some form of small computer or something that has a small display and will allow me to write a program to caputer the image and then do overlays on to the image - can anyone think of a small computer that would allow me to do this?

Any netbook?

had my cam for a few weeks and only just now i have purchased a memory card for it. i have identified the camera as a #6 by where the time stamp is ( yellow, bottom left ) it seems its on par with a #3, but wanted to know the smaller differences between a 3 and 6 if any.

i have tested it and video is 740x480 with 22khz audio and its picture resolution is 1280x1024

There is not a great deal different, just reported better image quality with the #3. Reliability is about the same so far that I've noticed for DOA.

This link has a lot of info on the cameras if you have not seen it yet. http://www.chucklohr.com/808/

Quite dissapointed with that Saw ride, never been on it myself but that drop doesnt even look that high :(

The drop looks pretty brutal when you're not on it. The drop's not particularly scary apart from it's actually over vertical, when you get to the top you're directly above the blades and it goes over vertical to avoid them. It's cool that it drags you up completely vertical too I've not had that before.

Ride's really good though, tightest rollercoaster I've been on - once you do the drop it never stops until the ride's finished. Colossus is better though imo.

Video of the saw ride looks perfect ;) Just the right kind of angle to make me puke :D

On another note, I have hardly used my spy cam after the initial me me me moment when I bought it The novelty seems to have worn off :p

the way ebay works means you will pay per item, same happened for my dad when he was selling some alton towers tickets a couple of weeks back. he didnt want to charge for the P&P twice but as he made 2 listings for 2 pairs of tickets

My memory turned up today, just charging the thing via the computer as we speak. :D

EDIT:

Right, after about 30 minutes of frustration and a completely useless user manual, I finally found out how to set the timestamp thanks to this website. Evidently, I have camera #3.

Root > TAG.txt > [date] yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss

All seems to be in working order now. Time to have some fun I guess!
