I only had to do that to charge the controllers.I probably didn't word that very well. I mean connect it with a cable for it to see the controller.
I just press the button in the middle and it syncs.

Ha, I got it wrong.I think you are missing the point of his post.
In context. He's saying without a Hard drive in place, The read speed of the DVD drive, Will soon become null and void, without a Hard drive to cache to.
Neither are are fast as the HDD.Where did you get that incorrect fact from? DVD reading rate is actually faster than blu-ray.
My opinion on that comes from chats I have had with a friend who works as a buyer for a publisher (not sure that is the correct term, he evaluates games coming from developers then presents to managers the case of why they should pick up/fund/publish the title). He has yet to have one of the Wii games he has selected picked up because they cannot compete with the big guns like Mario Galaxy, Zelda etc unless it is an existing title being published for other formats as well.Incorrect again. Wii consoles sell fast meaning there is much bigger userbase which developers can not ignore. Around 18.5 millions Wii were sold after just 1 year and it won't be long before it passes Gamecube's lifetime sale of just 21 millions! Like PS2 - More consoles sold equals more publishers.

Maybe you need to calm downMaybe you need to read up some facts before posting each consoles' pros and cons!
I think initially I had to connect the pad with a cable to the PS3, also with early updates a cable was needed after updating but now that is solved and they keep working wireless.I only had to do that to charge the controllers.

ZOMFG!!! Will it have built in GPS and a toast rack?!!But hey, if corporate marketing is anything to go buy, I'm sure we'll see a 250GB Super Elite Premium PS3 soon-ish![]()
Better than that!ZOMFG!!! Will it have built in GPS and a toast rack?!!
OK, fair enough, not used PSN as much as Live,
It isn't a "sweeping generalization"

A 12x CAV drive like the one in the 360 will be 12x speed for around 15% of the outer disc, that figure is peak performance. The closer to the inner ring it gets the slower accesses get (5x speed on the inner ring) - probable average: around 8x speed. Another interesting thing seems to escape everyone is that the 12x DVD drive in the 360 only reads dual layer discs at a maximum of 8x speed. As it was in single layer, the 8x speed is peak performance. The 2x speed BD drive performs quite well in this case: a BD25 on PS3 fares better than a DVD9 on the 360. The great majority of 360 games are and will be pressed on DVD9s. Another interesting point with existing CLV BD drives is that they do not have the dual layer penalization with DVD dics. If a BD drive is rated to read DVDs at 8x, it will read dual layer DVDs at 8x as well. This is why Sony is comfortable with its choice and knows it will hold its own against MS's choice in the DVD format.
Caching thankfully minimizes either DVD or BD's shortcomings, and careful authoring on either format will help minimize speed issues. These technicalities shouldn't matter to a true gamer and any advantages in either format will in all likelyhood go unnoticed in any regard to the untrained.
If you can find a PS3 anywhere in North America that's been on shelves for more than five minutes, I'll give you 1200 bucks for it.
If you look at the adoption rate of the DS over the first 17 months, not only does it trail the PSP but it also trails their other platforms ... They're potentially losing some of their core audience and they're not really expanding beyond that.
Microsoft is trailing behind us, but they are not a threat. They are good at improving [on products], but we will be advancing to the next level with revolutionary technology.
With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen. But I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that.
Will all 360's RROD at some point or is it just a few?
I would say, Any Launch or Early built consoles have a VERY VERY high chance of dying. Newly built Consoles on the other hand. Not so much

Is it also a case of the amount of use and where the 360 is kept?
e.g.
A casually used 360 compared to one used 24/7?
or
The 360 being in the open in a large room downstairs compared to a small stuffy bedroom on someones floor/under other equipment/monitors ect?

Microsoft recognizes this by having a lifetime 3RROD warranty.
Those can help to ease or exacerbate what is already a fragile situation.
Then you should have made a 'you must own all consoles' format in the original post. How people can possibly comment on a console they don't own is asking for trouble. You get such statements like..Guys, can you stop turning this into a 360 vs PS3 debate and answer in the format I asked for in the OP, or I'll asked the thread to be closed as there are 50 bjillion other threads that debate this issue at length.
He obviously doesn't own one and there lies the problem. The thread is full of people rattling on about something they don't own and getting things wrong, then arguing about them and so on.PS3 is overpriced and Fugly as hell, plus the controllers are naff and you can't use rechargables in them.
*Taking a deep breath*Maybe you need to calm downThese are my opinions, not facts.
