Monaco Grand Prix 2014, Monte Carlo - Race 6/19

Ericsson has been penalised by the stewards for hitting Massa. Penalty is he's being forced to start from the pit lane.

That's a new one on me.

Kvyat got a reprimand for impeding Maldonado.

Where did Ericsson qualify? The stewards are steering away from giving grid penalties to people who qualify at the back, as it makes little difference.

A new tactic for Q3. Be first out for Q3, slow and then spin as you cross the line so the session gets red flagged with that being the only time set... then spin, come back in, be ready, go sit at the end of the pit lane and be first out again, rinse repeat till Q3 is over :p

And a turning point for F1, as the stewards will show they can basically decide themselves where people start.

Not really. If they judge Rosberg has tried to stop other drivers from racing then he should be penalised. It has nothing to do with taking it upon themselves to decide where people start. If anything that's what Rosberg has done by bringing out yellow flags in the last lap of Q3 when he's sitting on a narrow lead.

Mercedes Formula 1 team boss Toto Wolff says suggestions that Nico Rosberg deliberately caused the incident that denied team-mate Lewis Hamilton a shot at Monaco Grand Prix pole are "bulls***".

"Did he say that?" he replied when told that Hamilton might suspect the incident was deliberate.

"I don't think that anybody does that [deliberately crash] in modern day Formula 1.

"He missed his braking and he took the exit. There is no more to add.

"I know you guys want a spicy, controversial story, but it's all bulls***."

"Lewis Hamilton says he will resolve tension with Mercedes Formula 1 team-mate Nico Rosberg in the same way that Ayrton Senna dealt with Alain Prost"

And we're off :)

I think people are taking way too much from this comment. He isn't going to crash Roberg off, he probably just means he is going to get him back on track by winning

The gifs and the youtube clip that have been displayed are rubbish. You need to watch it at full speed to see how quickly it all goes pair shaped.

As for the race, Hamilton seems to get better starts than Rosberg so it could be tasty going into the first corner.

No further action against Rosberg is the decision. Starts from pole.

Personally think it's the right call, don't think it was malicious.

Rosberg - No further action.

Not entirely unsurprised, but was expecting a reprimand.

Hamilton will need a good start from the dirty side of the grid if he wants to win this one. Especially with Ricciardo behind him on the clean side.
