Monaco Grand Prix 2014, Monte Carlo - Race 6/19

Was only planning on watching the qualifying this race. That's to this I may as well watch the first 3 laps now. I have a feeling Hamilton will get tagged by a car behind causing this to explode again with tales of how he should have been on pole.

If Hamilton beats Rosberg into the first corner then Rosberg hits Hamilton trying to pass him all hell could break out in the team. If Hamilton hits him trying to get past, same thing could happen but I think it will be worse if Rosberg does something else this weekend.

The real shame is as you say, qualifying was likely the only good part of this weekend(though end of fp2 became a bit like qualifying and was pretty good to watch). Shame we didn't see everyone do their best laps. Tires are much less of an issue this season and most importantly Merc being slow as crap at the front of the pack last year because they had WAY worse tire issues than everyone else all year. So at least this year we don't have the worst tire team causing a train.

That could lead to better DRS overtaking as in a train everyone has drs but if the field spreads more there will be more cars without DRS throughout.... hopefully.

I do wish he would stop comparing himself to senna. Just shut up and take the title and stop giving the press any chance at all to blow this up to anything more than healthy rivalry. Prost and Senna where two personalities, two of the very best of all time. Not like this pair of dullards who are not even regarded as the best in the field let alone of all time. :p

How stupid would it of been if Roseberg got a penalty xD That was one of the dumbest investigations....

I do hope Hamilton lightens up as some of his comments after quali just seem dumb. Or if not hopefully he just crashes himself out etc so he can QQ on his own failures.

I'm not keen on Rosberg by any means, but Hamilton really does make himself look like a ******* when things go only even slightly awry.

Can certainly see a LH DNF tomorrow, through whatever reason, and NR sailing off unless he gets taken out Senna style :P

Talking of Jenson, after today's performance I think we can all agree that this will be his last season with Mclaren.

Personally I would rather see him try his hand at something else ala Mark Webber rather than settle for a middle of the pack team.

Can you explain what they're saying/showing? I can't watch at the moment. :(

It was a lap by lap comparison, it showed how Rosberg started to steer, saw at the wheel, where previously there was little input on the steering wheel.

I am making no comment on what that means.

For the record I don't think Rosberg went off on purpose.

Needs to go off and be a professional triathlete instead now imho. I'm one of his biggest fans, but his and McLaren's performance is just a bit embarrassing now.

Hamilton has been getting better starts, hope Hamilton wins this one. If it wasn't for Hamilton's bad luck with his car he would be comfortably ahead in the championship.

Rosberg will win the wdc this year. He's got everything needed to do it.

Mental strength. Check.
Quick car. Check.
Fast enough qualifying pacentre. Check.
Superior strategists and race engineers. Check.
