I wonder what proportion of new Focus were sold to over 65's versus new Mondeo's. I suspect more went for a Focus becuase they considered it a more manageable size..

), I'd advise you not to set your heart on a particular car. I've had a lot of cars in the past for this sort of budget and the best way to get a bargain is to trawl the free ads and eBay (not Autotrader) and search for anything under your budget. Don't be picky, just look for the longest possible MOT and the best possible condition. If you get tax as well all the better. Don't get hung up on mileage - for this money it's not really a consideration.
Thats an even better contribution than I usually come up with.
