Could do with cutting a credit card and the new one has poor cashback. So I'm not taking up the new card

Snap - it was only used for Amazon purchases as it was inevitable I'd spend there. Will probably forego it, but swap my BarclayCard to the new rewards one.

Same. And I've spent less on amazon every year for the last 5 years. They just aren't competitive like they used to be.

Better late than never from Chase:

Good news – we're increasing the Chase saver account interest rate from 1.5% AER (1.49% gross) variable to 2.1% AER (2.08% gross) variable, effective from 24 October 2022.

I’m closing my newday card as well, it just isn’t that great. I’m just using chase now for everyday purchases. I still use amazon as they’re next day delivery.

Already emptied my Chase accounts and moved them to Santander @ 2.75%.

I really liked the Chase app and interface etc which is a shame.

Plus they are late doing it. Add to that rates are likely to end up just below 6% next year, and Chase's upping to 2.1% is a bit poor considering they were trying to be market leading.

I suppose that is what happens when you gain 1m customers in the first 12 months of business. Surpassing Monzo's 150,000 in its first year, and Starlings 350,000.

Since when is Crypto banned on Starling? Tried to deposit onto an exchange and it kept being declined. Had a quick google and a few have confirmed via live chat Starling no longer supports Crypto. Was only a few weeks back I made a deposit

UK banks in general hate crypto. Better off using Revolut for that purpose.

I came across a couple hundred old style one pound coins when clearing out the loft, I know they're not legal tender anymore but I heard the post office let's you deposit them into your bank, does it work for Monzo?

No, you can't deposit into Monzo from a post office.
