You need to educate yourself with it before you come to conclusions, don't throw it out completely.
This akin to someone throwing out the wheel and reinventing it, or throwing out GPS sat nav, you can take what's already been done and work on it yourself, expand your knowledge. Spiral Dynamics is just a concept, a tool, but it will give you wisdom.
The reason we have computers today is because people kept expanding on other's ideas, they didn't start from scratch each time. Other work means you can skip earlier stages.

It's a similar drug culture, easy money with little physical or mental effort. The difference being it seems this drug culture produces different levels of casual violence depending on the ethnicity of the drug dealers, for whatever reason.

The sad thing is most of the people arguing that London black on black crime is linked to poverty and not race are likely to call anyone who calls for control over immigration a far right Nazi, when really taking control over immigration and better planning for both current population levels and controlled increases going forward is going to help the poor the most. It's all well and good virtue signalling about mass immigration and just dismissing the increases in crime on poverty but what is causing it? the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

How much do you think I need to know about it? For example I'm aware of what star signs/horoscopes are, I don't need to know all the details of how the people who write horoscopes make use of the alignment of stars etc.. to come up with their predictions/guidance in order for me to dismiss them.

Yes, the video is not related to Sprial dynamics, I dont find spiral dynamics to be vague at all, just dont expect to measure human evolution through obvious means such as 1 apple + 1 apple on my table = 2 apples.
